You can call me much worse.’ I’ve been called much worse. Being a lesbian is a compliment more than what else they call me.”

Please GOD, don’t let her be on our team. That’s the last thing we need.

    Awesome! Good Answer Miley!!

  • openguy

    love Miley!

  • ted72

    @Joanna: LOL. Totally agree!

  • Snapper59

She thinks she’s Pink. After her Britney and Madonna phase.

  • Deepdow

I have to admit she’s starting to grow on me.

  • Cam

    To Joanna and Ted,

I want to remind you, she came out in favor of gay marriage years ago. When she got some backlash from fans she basically told them to F-off and she didn’t want bigots as fans. For somebody that young, whose career was still on the rise at the time to do that I think deserves a little support back. I’m not really her demo but respect the hell out of her doing that when she didn’t have to.

She said, “Being a lesbian isn’t a bad thing” unlike other celebs who file lawsuits if they get called that.

  • MK Ultra

I agree. I like her new song and her new attitude.

  • Caliban

I am by no means a Miley Cyrus fan (though I did like the acoustic version she did of “Jolene”) but based on what I’ve read and seen she isn’t kidding about being a gay rights advocate. Like many people her age she looks on being anti-gay like older generations looked on racism.

  • Brian

Miley Cyrus can’t sing or act. Someone please tell her she’s not talented.

As for her sexuality, she appears to be one of these women who exploits the homophobic double standard that discriminates against gay men who wish to succeed commercially in the music industry. You know, the one that says “girl-girl = hot, guy-guy = gross”.

    Go away, Miley.

  • Brian

Since when has lesbianism been counter-productive to a woman’s career in the music industry? Ever since early Madonna, women have been faking their interest in women in an attempt to get attention. Katy Perry had a huge no. 1 hit with “I Kissed A Girl” just in case any of you have forgotten.

None of these women are genuine lesbians. Their marketing strategy is to play to the straight guy fantasy for girl-girl action, sort of like what you see in porn. Their schtick is based on appealing to men who make vomiting noises when two guys kiss.

Don’t fall for these women’s marketing ploys. They are NOT on our side.

  • Cam

You are pathetic. This chick came out in favor of gay marriage, when there was a backlash and her record company wanted her to tone it down she said F-off to any fans that were bigots, and that she didn’t want them as fans.

Anybody her age, who has the guts and maturity to tell her employers AND thousands of fans to go to hell because of her belief in civil rights is ok in my book.

But then again, you weren’t really informed on here, you had a prepared little rant, and by golly you were going to SAY it weren’t you!

  • Deepdow

It’s not her stance on social issues that did it for me. I like the way she twerks it :) and her newest pop song is summer time bearable. The fact that she is vocal about equality and an end to gay stigma speaks volumes about her sanity.

  • Brian

Miley Cyrus is a fake. It’s women like her who perpetuate sexist and misogynistic attitudes to
women in the music industry. Like many women who claim to be interested in women for the benefit of men, she appears to be a misogynist.

Note how Miley has never put an erotic male-male interaction in any of her videos. Her marketing team apparently won’t allow it.

  • Cam

    @Brian: said…

“Like many women who claim to be interested in women for the benefit of men, she appears to be a misogynist.”

You again, are pathetic. She never said she was a lesbian. When asked what she thought about people calling her a lesbian, she basically said “So what?”

You are so desperate to make your little point that you aren’t even reading what she actually said. That is how desperate you are.

  • openguy

@Brian: What a bitter asshole you are. Miley has used her status to always stick up for the LGBT crowd and people like you want to rag on her because she isn’t Madonna or Cher or Liz Taylor or whatever the case may be. She is edgy and in control of her creative life and it is great to see. Calling her a misogynist just makes you a feminist troll, loser.

  • Brian

Edgy? Lololol. Oh, you make my seams split.

Miley Cyrus is the product of male heterosexual marketing. Oh, and she can’t sing live.

  • Cam

Funny Brian, you didn’t respond to my post that pointed out exactly how you lied about what she said, and were creating a phony situation so you could then argue against it.

It sounds like you have some seriously major baggage. What happened, did you send her a fan letter and she didn’t respond?

  • GeriHew

So Miley got her cut short because she was getting fed up with everyone saying she’s bisexual? Is that what happened?

  • elbertdijkgraaf

I kinda like Miley and although she may not be a lesbian, she sure knows how to work her tongue… (a bit too much infact)

  • Cam

    Wow, can nobody read?

  • Brian

Miley Cyrus can’t sing or act. She’s heavy on Auto Tune or other recording tricks designed to make her voice sound better than it actually is.

  • GeriHew

    @Cam: I was joking.

People have been talking about this girl being bisexual for years. She gets her hair cut in a short style and now they’re saying she’s a lesbian.

It’s hilarious. At least it is to me.

I think she looks hot with her razor cut anyways.
