Sad newz, u guyz: Attempts by Montana’s Republican state lawmakers to pass a bill that would invalidate any local ordinance offering discrimination protection not offered at the state level isn’t going too well. The bill, helmed by Rep. Kristin Hansen and aimed directly at Missoula’s ordinance protecting gays in areas like housing and employment (who are not protected by state law), isn’t drawing support from the State House’s GOP leaders, who ushered the bill back to committee where it will likely die. Which is too bad, because its supporters totally had an awesome way of defending it: passing local anti-discrimination protections totally infringes on state power!

Why anyone would propose a law that is known to be unconstitutional (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Romer_v_Evans) is beyond me.

I really enjoyed the post. Head’s up – I am running XP with the Chrome dev builds – your site’s images is sorta broken.
