John Amaechi had a little one-on-one with the AP today and, of course, got asked about Tim Hardaway‘s homophobic comments yesterday. Measured as always, Amaechi said that Hardaway’s words highlight our nation’s all-pervasive homophobia. He also had this to say:
I don’t need Tim’s comments to realize there’s a problem. People said that I should just shut up and go away – now they have to rethink that.
We can’t help but feel that those people want you to go away now more than ever.

I’m resisting the call of the “he’s so well-spoken” joke. But I’ve gotta say Amaechi’s soundbytes have been exceptional from the start, and his book might even be a good read.

What a sicko Amaechi is. Are we all so brainwashed by politically correct morons that we can’t say what we all know, which is that only a degenerate would want to stick his_____ in another guy’s _____.

And you’re doing *what exactly*, trolling a gay news blog, Steve? A little window shopping? No one’s forcing you to have gay sex–although you sound exactly like the kind of guy who’s obsessed with it for all the obvious reasons.

gee … i can think of a lot of places i’d like to stick my____ into a guy… not to mention all the places i’d like a guy to stick his ____ into (and onto) me ! ya gotta be more specific, steve… get creative.
i’ll never understand what the problem is with folks like steve and tim. there’s only two kinds of people : innies and outies. some people like innies, some people like outies, some people like both…. what’s so scary ??

C’mon now… Did Tim ever say anything to Dennis Rodman about his way out personality that has all of us STILL puzzled or the late Brian (Bison Dele) Williams who was alwys in question? But Tim never had the nuts to say anything to either of them. Hell naw! He would have gotten his little ass slapped back to Lake Michigan. Tim, I thought you used to be cool dude. You lived in Miami for over 5 years and THIS is the kind tolerance you’ve come away with. You just lost ever job you ever wanted. Without tolerance, no one is any good for our society. Maybe the “king of crossover” has some issues in his own closet. Like I said, he lived in Miami for over 5 years.
