“I felt relieved,” Adam tells the New York Post about his recent circumcision. “I felt like King David.”
On New Years Day two years ago, 39-year-old Adam, who declined to give his last name for “personal reasons,” says he decided to kick off the new year by chopping off his foreskin.
“I planned to start the new year right,” he says.
Adam was born in France. He now lives in New York’s West Village. Growing up, his parents wouldn’t allow a bris for fear that it would create an external sign of being Jewish “in a hostile world.” And so Adam went his whole life wishing he were circumcised.
How about we take this to the next level?
Our newsletter is like a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.
Immediately after the procedure two years ago, Adam and his rabbi went to a nearby park to bury his foreskin, a practice which symbolizes “putting the negativity back into the earth.”
Of course, deciding to get the snip was easy. The recovery, on the other hand, was a different story.
“There was a five-week recovery before I could use it,” Adam says, explaining the recovery regimen included remaining bandaged for 10 days and soaking his scabbby junk in Epsom salt twice a day for 30 minutes.
But, he says, it was all worth it in the end. “It looks better,” he says.
34-year-old Boris can relate. The Staten Islander decided to get circumcised last year after marrying a Jewish woman.
“I thought about it my whole life,” Boris explains. “It’s unfortunate I had to wait till I was 33.”
The procedure cost $1000 and took about 40 minutes, during which Boris lay on a table covered with a sheet. After the anesthetic kicked in, “the actual thing takes maybe a minute.”
Boris describes the first two weeks following the procedure as “horrific, especially the swelling.” Luckily, he had Vicodin (and his loving, supportive wife) to help get him through the worst of it. Sex was off limits for about two months. The reason being that an erection can cause extreme soreness. Urinating was not a problem, he says, although he admits “the next six months weren’t normal.”
Though there are no official statistics yet, mohels and doctors claim they’ve seen an uptick in adult male circumcisions in recent years.
“Circumcision is hot,” urologist Dr. Paul Turek tells the New York Post. Turek estimates that about half of his adult patients, many of whom are well into their 20s, get circumcised purely for cosmetic reasons. “They’ll come in and say, ‘I think I need to get cut.’ Some men don’t like [the foreskin]–their partners don’t like it.”
Dr. Ian Kerner, a New York-based sex expert, agrees.
“I’ve met American men who were uncomfortable that they weren’t circumcised, and it’s caused them social embarrassment,” says Kerner. “In some ways, it’s the same reason someone would get a nose job. It’s elective surgery, but it makes you feel better.”
What do you think about adult male circumcision? Sound off in the comments section below.

Well, adult men deciding to get circumcised is no biggie for me…it’s the parents who decide that hacking off flesh from their children and think this is normal behaviour that disturbes me greatly…circumcising babies and children is extreme physical child abuse, and don’t let jews and muslims tell you otherwise.
talondrago
I would never give up my skin. It is a God given gift that allows me to do some rather pleasant things.
ddean
I’m with you Greg. Hell no! I agree if they don’t want it as a adult but mutilation as a child makes me sick to my stomach. I was a middle child all of us boys delivered by the same doc but thankfully I was left intact. I think guys that say they don’t like it have just been manipulated into believing its unsanitary and it couldn’t be further from the truth.
Faulk
No thx, i’m gonna keep my skin, i love it!
MikeyMike
I would like to know if sex physically does not feel as good. I always hear that uncut guys are more sensitive bc their head is not constantly exposed and touching their underwear etc…
polarisfashion
@Taskebab: I agree with you, this procedure should never be performed on a child unless its medically necessary. I am cut but I like guys that are still intact. There is something interesting and maybe a bit exotic about the the intact penis that I like. Of course I’ll still be with a guy that is cut but I like intact ones just a little bit more.
NiceNCool1
They’re stupid.
Mykaels
@MikeyMike – Sex is great and amazing even when cut, lol.
I do my part by not giving a single fuck in the world to this whole “debate”. I do not care if you are cut or uncut, just know how to use the damn thing. No, you are not “complete” cause you have a forskin. If anything, you are probably a broken mess to care about something so trivial. and no, I am not “mutilated” cause I am cut.
At the end of the day, the only thing these preferences are about is being a dickhead to people. Pun intended.
onthemark
Yeah, two straight Jewish guys = a trend.
jwtraveler
I was hoping for some more interesting explanations than, “I wanted to conform to religious and social norms.”
I was circumcised at birth (I’m Jewish). While it hasn’t caused me great consternation, growing up in a culture where it’s the norm, if I’d been able to make a choice I wouldn’t have done it. If I had a son, I definitely would not have him circumcised. I like natural penises as well as circumcised ones. The most important thing for me is that they’re hard and the owners knows how to use them.
Sammy Schlipshit
Oh no!!!!
Now, these men are basing their chosen mutilation because it’s ‘trendy’? First it was piercings then tattoos now this.
Sure hope this is a choice only a few nitwits are making.
Sure, they can do as they wish but those guys are so shallow they can even make a splash.
Circumcision should never, ever be done to an infant.
Barbaric practices such as that should be illegal.
Leave it to the grownups to make that decision…..regardless of how stupid I perceive them to be.
crowebobby
Doesn’t anyone realize how streamlined our heads would look without ugly ears sticking out of them . . . not to mention the fact that we wouldn’t have to be cleaning them of unsightly wax all the time. And we could still hear, so don’t use that old canard as an argument against it. I wonder how many streamlined heads it would take for parents to embrace the trend and begin listening to the “streamlined” contingent who were streamlined at birth and were perfectly happy with the condition . . . who indeed loved the only heads they’ve known.
Gruffling
People can do what they want with their own bodies.
I’m cut but it was for medical reasons. I wouldn’t mind a ‘normal’ penis but nature had other plans.
ktlong
whoever said something about uncut being more sensitive, that is a medical fact …more nerve endings ..
Personally, I like both types of penis 😀 …but not ever remembering what it was like Having a foreskin, I can’t speak to how sensitive it is on a personal basis.
Some years ago, there was a small ‘movement’ with guys trying to “regrow” their foreskin …anyone else know about that? One scheme was to use little rubber washer/rings …that pulled the skin over the head of your penis … if I understand it correctly, the ring was left on for weeks at a time ….
Sammy Schlipshit
@ktlong:
Absolutely correct about the process of trying to recreate foreskin.
I met the guy who was leading the charge.
The process did involve using various methods and devices (home made) to slowly stretch the remaining penile skin in order to recreate something that looked to be a bit of foreskin.
It all took too long for me to try more than a few days.
Besides, even with reclaimed dangling skin, the precious nerve endings located directly under the head area are what was removed during the barbaric mutilation of the baby boy.
They can never be recreated.
Plus, over the years of the head being exposed, the sensitivity has been lost as well.
Doubt that ever returns even if a guy has the patience and ability to re-stretch any skin.
It ain’t and never will be as effective as the real deal was that we were all born with.
Just one more reason to hate my parents.
I asked my mom why I was circumcised at birth while my dad was still intact. She couldn’t remember there being a decision being made one way or the other. In my birth era (1946) it was just standard procedure based on the claim it was done for hygiene.
What a load of crap.
The mad doctor(?) Kellogg was another instigator of this madness. He prescribed it to prevent masturbation.
Well, how’d that work out?
Stache99
Ok I stopped when I heard him and his Rabbi burying it. First off that’s just fucked up. Secondly, since it’s about religion this really isn’t a story. Give me someone normal doing it then will talk.
SpudStudScott
I wish I still had a foreskin ! Uncut men completely fascinate me…
Stache99
@Sammy Schlipshit: If people used their ears for sex then your little scenario would’ve been today’s reality.
Garth
I wasn’t born a Jew and have no intention of becoming one.
Captain Obvious
What is with the fascination with foreskin? I only hear this “regret” nonsense from other gay men. Literally no one else cares one way or the other.
If you don’t wash foreskin properly it can lead to a lot of health problems down the line. Snipping it off prevents that because most parents are not going to be sliding around inside their kids skin trying to wash it, and the kids themselves are not going to clean it properly when they’re too big to wash alone, but not old enough to understand why they need to pay extra attention.
It’s really not that big a deal and all this mutilation talk is laughable. You don’t even remember it, it’s done when you’re too young to form long term memories.
Now why adult men are so upset over children’s foreskin is beyond me…
Sammy Schlipshit
@Captain Obvious:
Dude, watch any video showing circumcision then tell me it’s no big deal.
Gruffling
Yeah the recovery process after a circumcision is really unpleasant. Trust me, it’s not something to go through on a whim.
Bubbleandsqueal
Circumcision is NOT hot, Dr. Paul Turek. For you, it is _lucrative_.
ml66uk
@Captain Obvious: I’m straight, and I’d pay a year’s salary rather than be circumcised. Why would I want the most sensitive and pleasurable parts cut off? (it’s not just there to protect the glans)
Female genitals are harder to clean than male genitals, but we don’t cut parts off baby girls to make it easier. Parents aren’t supposed to clean inside btw.
Why it’s not freaking obvious that it’s wrong to cut erogenous tissue off other people’s bodies, even at an early age, is beyond me… His body, his choice. It’s not like it can’t wait for people to decide for themselves whether or not they want irreversible genital surgery. The USA (at 55% and dropping) and Israel are the only two countries in the world where more than half of baby boys are circumcised. Other countries circumcise, but not till anywhere from the age of seven to adolescence. Only about 10% of the world’s circumcised men were circumcised as babies.
manjoguy
Foreskin is highly overrated. I had to endure mine until age 32 when I decided I had enough. No regrets whatsoever. My “recovery” was a practically un-noticeable event. Aesthetically I prefer the circumcised look (of myself and on others). But, it’s just a preference, and people are entitled to such. As far as infant circumcision is concerned, I can go either way. I certainly do understand the argument that a male should have the choice.
Arcamenel
The majority of the global male population is in fact uncircumcised so I don’t see how mutilating yourself is the norm but whatever. I love my foreskin and any future sons I have will keep theirs until they themselves decide to get rid of it.
onthemark
I wish more American guys had foreskins! They are beautiful. I’ve hardly ever seen them except on immigrant guys or on trips to Europe. One black/latino guy, NY native…… oh right his brother hit on me eventually too. They never remarked on the foreskin “controversy” pro or con & now I wish I’d asked. One white guy from way up in Maine, he was embarrassed about his, apologetic even & I reassured him it was great. Uncut c0ck seems deplorably rare among American guys according to my unscientific sample of several zillion guys but maybe I will have to keep sampling.
@manjoguy: “I had to endure mine until age 32 when I decided I had enough.” Why, what was it doing?
Ryuun12
@ddean: So… the only people who don’t like it must’ve been manipulated to think so. Yeah, that makes sense!
I know people who wanted to get it circumsized because the skin was too tight and was very painful.
You make it sound like “Uncut is the TRUE way to have a Penis. Anyone else is gross and wrong.”
Its fine you if you prefer uncut guys, thats fair. But I don’t appreciate your comment.
Stache99
@manjoguy: “I had to endure mine until age 32 when I decided I had enough”
Was this based on some religious faith because I’m completely baffled by that statement.

I thought I was going to hear something I haven’t heard before. That self-identified Jewish men felt incomplete being uncircumcised does not surprise me. It’s interesting, though, that the Jewish parents chose not to circumcise their son for fear of his appearing “Jewish” in a hostile world. I used to hear a somewhat opposite refrain in the US. Parents did not want their sons to feel “different” so they circumcised their sons to look like the other boys. My mother told me there was so unavailability of equipment or personnel when my brother and I were born which resulted in our not getting cut. I say just as well. I’ve had no complaints — from myself or my partners. Being cut or uncut has become a fetish. To hear some guys, being uncut is like having a deformity. I’ve been with guys who voiced similar views yet apparently had no issue when we started hooking up.
petensfo
@Captain Obvious: hunty, you’re profile name is kinda ironic, don’t you think? Captain ‘Obvious’?!
Obviously you’ve missed the fact that the individual should always have the right to determine whether or not they have a permanent & totally elective surgery on the most sensitive part of their body. ???
My guy is uncut… there are a lot of differences & benefits that he has that I don’t. I don’t think anyone’s up at night losing sleep, but when asked, most anyone (not American) recognizes that the whole practice is absurd.
RevJim
Modern circumcision is an act of deranged violence. Those who intentionally mutilate their bodies are mentally ill and are a threat to themselves and to Society.
SFHarry
@Garth: You may have been born stupid.
jason smeds
I got the sense that one of the guys got circumcised to please his wife. Well, if that’s the case, it’s an example of pathetic male subservience to women. When will men stand up for their own bodies instead of changing it to please a woman?
Tookietookie123
I get the whole doing it for yourself, but I would never alter my body at a surgical level to please anyone else. If you have a problem with my body, that’s a you problem.

*More And More Adult AMERICAN Men Are Snipping Off Their Foreskin And Here’s Why
Fixed.
Just because American guys are self conscious about a normal and pleasurable part of the body doesn’t mean we are all running out to cut our knobs off. A circumcised dick is pretty unsightly with that scar. I’ve been with a few and they all look like they got caught in a bear trap.
Hermes
I do not care what adult men do to their bodies. I am circumcised, I did not have a choice, it was done as a baby because my mother was told by the doctor that it should be done – and I resented it from the moment I saw an intact friend at something around 7. The people in your stories had the option of being “snipped” because their foreskins were left for THEM to make decisions about.
Circumcision was first and foremost a religious ritual. The assertion would be that it is to show a special relationship with deity – but my guess is that it was used for the same reason in ancient days that it still sometimes is – to be able, at a glance, to see who is “us” and who is “them” during the aftermath of a war. It was used that way as recently as 1971. If you have a foreskin and their cult does not – you are killed: http://oddstuffmagazine.com/some-amazing-unknown-historical-photographs.html/2-the-foreskin-or-death-pakistani-soldier-checks-whether-circumcised-man-ie-muslim-or-hindu-during-the-bangladesh-liberation-war-1971
In America it was originally used as a method to prevent boys from masturbating (which never worked) and to reinforce Victorian sexual mores (which may have) Now it is pushed with a sequence of health claims, all but the most recent of which have proved false, and peer pressure (expressed so well in “it looks better” and the doctor’s totally subjective statement that “circumcision is hot”), but what this article doesn’t and can’t note is the number of people attempting to “restore” their foreskin, which most stuff I’ve read puts in the hundreds of thousands. Those are men who were snipped like I was, as a boy – but are more willing than I to do more than stew about it. I just don’t because it isn’t real foreskin as far as I’m concerned.
So again, its fine for adult, but shall we stop doing it to babies who have no choice, and who may grow up like me and other guys I know, to resent or regret it?
Hermes
passingthru
It’s best that they have a choice. I don’t have an option to get mine back. If I could, I would.

I personally prefer being cut to when I had phimosis but I wouldn’t want a man to judge me based on whether I have foreskin or not.

I was circumcised as a child and I wasn’t mutilated. Drama queens on here.
I also had my tonsils, adenoids and appendix removed at different times in my childhood. I don’t miss them either.
Having dated all different kinds of guys I have notice uncircumcised guys with more problems than uncircumcised guys. Just a couple months ago I met a guy whose foreskin was so tight that the head couldn’t come out. Imagine putting on a turtleneck sweater 4 sizes too small and your head not fitting through. The poor guy obviously is in discomfort when he gets erect and the head puts pressure on the skin. Another 2 guys I dated had recurring infection problems because no matter how much they bathed the way they would sweat throughout the day would cause issues.
As for the guy’s foreskin being buried in a park…what park might that be? My dog likes to dig things up and I couldn’t handle that.
CoachS
Dear Dr Kellogg:
I was circumcised at birth. Masturbation has been a favorite hobby of mine since age 11. Still enjoy it 30 years later.
My partner is younger. He’s cut too. If he ever wants kids, I wouldn’t really have an opinion either way on what we do for our son. It’s worked for both of us.

@ml66uk: Straight on Queerty? Sure thing, girlfriend.

I found this article via a google alert. I only mentioned that I’m straight since you seemed to be suggesting that only gay men care about it: “What is with the fascination with foreskin? I only hear this “regret” nonsense from other gay men. Literally no one else cares one way or the other.”
There are plenty of women who think it’s a big deal too, including the founders of Intact America and NOCIRC.

If it stands in friendly attention with desire for me, it’s welcome as is with the skin it was born with or a little trimming, either.
Ryuun12
I just love that the Gay Community is a bunch of drama queens. “I think its SICK; its savage; mutilating those poor defenseless children”
Holy fuck shut up. Some parents did it for religious reasons, some for health/hygiene reasons. Whatever you feel, you can’t deny there are health and hygienic reasons to being circumcised. I do think it makes sense that people should have a choice.
But one, its a shame a guy should have to do that fully conscious of it, and be in pain. It makes more sense for it to be done as an infant. Are you really going to be babies? “Wahhh I don’t have my foreskin, I mean my sex life is totally fine and I haven’t had any problems, but I need to feel oppressed by something!”
jason smeds
Ryuun,
Well then you should be OK with female circumcision, shouldn’t you?
The reality is that there are very few cases where male circumcision is done for health reasons. Most of the time it’s done for reasons of religion. It’s done for reasons of belief, not medicine.
electrongreen
i find cut men unattractive, Often they have scarring and some can look quite deformed, A skin is meant to be there for protection in the same way that women have their outer skin,
trevorc5
Wow some of these comments are kinda hilarious, like calling circumcision “mutilation”. First off there’s a lot worse things in the world than circumcision and the fact people on here are critiquing what a person’s parents do (religious or not) or if the person chooses to do the procedure is just ridiculous. It’s almost as ridiculous as if I were to say “being gay is wrong” or “gays shouldn’t be parents” on a gay website, like why should we honestly care what people do or had done with their bodies.
davidgrelle1
This entire article is bull shit. Two people, who were circumcised as adults does not warrant a headline – More and More Adult Men Are Snipping off their Foreskin?
Please, this is just ridiculous. No story here.
Zenguy
Born in America to an Italian family, circumcision was the norm. Despite the fact that my parents were not religious, church-going Catholics, they followed some of the traditions, which included circumcision, which was considered a necessary procedure for health concerns. I grew up completely unaware that I was physically modified; never had concept or exposure to what an uncut penis was.
Later in life I had an Asian partner who was uncut. It didn’t bother me much, except that he was extremely sensitive. I can’t say that I prefer uncut or cut, since there are many other factors that make someone (and their various parts) attractive.
If an uncircumcised man wants to get cut, why should they be judged be others? It’s a personal preference, just like any body modification – tattoos, hair plugs, breast implants/reductions, liposuction, plastic surgery etc…
jwtraveler
@manjoguy: But why did you get circumcised? I’m not judging. I’m curious. I’d really like to know.
jwtraveler
@RevJim: That’s pretty crazy. Do you feel the same about piercing, or doesn’t that count?@jason smeds: And that’s as crazy as usual.
Kangol
@Stache99:
Some men (and women) suffer from phimosis, which means the foreskin remains fused to the pen1s glans, as it is in infancy, so they have to have it surgically removed.
I think there are reasons (religion, health, aesthetics, etc.) why men might decide to get circumcised, but this article unfortunately reads like religious propaganda. Kind of bizarre for Queerty.
Kangol
@davidgrelle1: You’re right, there’s no proof of a trend here.
I’m fine with guys either way, though I find foreskins hot, but a billion Muslims, in addition to Jews, Americans, many non-Muslim Africans, etc., also regularly circumcise.
Is that a “trend”? Not really, unless you’re talking about religion and culture. (And, to prevent HIV transmission, health.) But the article doesn’t really say any of this explicitly. Why?
rcblue73
The entire subject is a political correctness land mine so it’s pointless to voice an opinion to some people who are extremely militant on the subject. For instance, one guy told me all art and photos of circumcised men should be banned. Then another guy told me that he was really turned on by uncircumcised penis because of something called “cheese” which I will so totally pass on. Lastly, there was an individual on a forum some years ago who was militantly anti-circumcision and would frequently work the subject into unrelated discussions. Some where along the line he revealed that many years before he had sexual reassignment surgery from male to female; also revealing that some years later, he had surgery again to transition back to male when he felt being a woman was not working for him. So – unless he was fibbing about his personal history, his concern about circumcision might be considered trivial compared to other surgeries? Maybe the intensity about this subject might be not so much about a small piece of skin and more symbolic of other issues?
Faggot
@Garth: What about a Muslim? They’re nearly a third of this planet’s population and they cut their boys. Ouch! Poor boy. 🙁
jantheman4903
adults do what you want. but can you IMAGINE the outrage from the feminists if a girl baby was strapped down and had part of her genitalia modified even slightly..and with no or minimum painkilling?
Ladbrook
American really needs to get past this obsession with circumcising their infant sons. I understand the Jewish and Muslim requirements, but in the US, most Christians engage in it as well. I spent a semester in England when I was in college, and every guy I hooked up with thought I was Jewish.

So, another question:
Is there a 501.c.3 association helping men with their foreskin restoration? Or is that movement primarily self-help, or quacks, etc?
Is there a 501.c.3 association helping men with adult circumcision? Or is that movement primarily religious groups, self-help, or quacks?

And this is why I do not like trends: They tend to put pressure on you to do this or that, especially in sex-related matters where people will start boykotting you if you do not conform to the latest trends (like being shaved, having big tits or wathever…).
But as others mention, I do not see a trend here yet…

Foreskin removal is a mutilation and a barbaric act.

I love my foreskin and I love other men’s foreskin. Sweethearts don’t mess with your foreskin.
IzzyLuna
There are so many benefits to being uncut and they definitely outweigh the other. The biggest one being: you’re way more sensitive which makes sex tons better. A close second is that it makes the person on the “receiving end” feel much better since there’s less friction. The skin acts as a cover which still allows the dick to slide back and forth and gives sensation to the bottom and the top. The list goes on and on and on…
I’m KEEPING MINE FOREVER.

Love foreskin,keep it, keep it!!

I’m from South Africa, and luckily most men here are circumcised. It’s performed free of charge at hospitals, and the numbers of men getting cut are just soaring. I’m 21 and a friend of mine just got cut last August. Had it done way earlier, and I would NEVER, and I mean NEVER go anywhere near a man who hasn’t been circumcised. Fucking nasty! How do you even give a blowjob to an uncircumcised guy? PUKE!!!!! Hood on the wood? It ain’t no good! Love South Africa.
MilanoJosh
@Mykaels: (ROUSING APPLAUSE)
Clark35
I’m not cut, and I’m not going to mutilate my genitals. Very few men that I know who are also intact with a foreskin opt to get their genitals mutilated or cut like this, and the majority of the men in the world are intact with a foreskin, and this includes men in South Africa despite what the troll Rasashy posted.
Zenguy-I’m Italian American and not cut, actually the majority of Italian men and Italian-Americans are not cut or mutilated.
yankeeoscarza
@Rasashy@Rasashy: not sure which South Africa you are from, but the one I am from does not reflect your statement. Up until 5 years ago the biggest tribe in the country did not even practice it as part of their culture. It was only introduced by the Zulu king due to the fact that most men refused to wear condoms and with our high rate of HIV infections trying to limit possibilities to spread the disease through torn skin. And even today they are still behind on the numbers the had hopped for 5 years ago. So do some fact checking before posting half truths.

Some boys suffer from skin adhesions and various complications from botched circumcisions. Aesthetically, I prefer uncut (social conditioning) but the practice perhaps should be discouraged in future genrations because it’s an unnecessary procedure,

So, so, so thankful my parents did it for me.
My penis is gorgeous.
Definitely would not want to have any extra ‘hood’ covering it 🙂
Rasashy
You do know that “biggest tribe” doesn’t mean “majority”, right? The most renowned tribes are Zulus, Xhosas and Pedis. Both Xhosas and Pedis practise circumcision as a rite of passage, and the other “tribes” adopted this long ago as well, except the Tswanas. . They do it out of free will as adults because their culture doesn’t require it. A lot of Zulus are also adopting it, which I hate because they’re ruining everything. Just 5 years ago, once his pants fell off and you see foreskin, you’d know he’s Zulus and ditch him, but now they’re doing it as well. South Africa is quite culturally and historically rich, but the better thing is that I can easily find cut men. There’s no way I’d ever go for uncut men. Admittedly, maybe had I been born in Europe, it might not be such a big deal because I wouldn’t know any other way but I’m pretty sure I’d be a 100% heterosexual man had male circumcision not been invented.
ml66uk
@Rasashy: “I’m pretty sure I’d be a 100% heterosexual man had male circumcision not been invented.”
Huh? I’ve never heard of anyone saying they think being circumcised made them gay. It’s not like there aren’t plenty of intact gay men and circumcised straight men.

The normalization of male genital mutilation was spearheaded by Jewish Americans.
It is a barbaric practice that belongs in the stone age, along with the Torah.

REGARDING THE CIRCUMCISION ISSUE THAT CAPTIVATES SO MANY OF US; I’M NOT CIRCUMCISED AND PLAN ON KEEPING MY FORESKIN. I ALSO KNOW THE VALUE OF KEEPING MY FORESKIN CLEAN. I’VE SEEN GUYS IN THE GYM SHOWER LOOK AT ME WHEN I’M SHOWERING AND RETRACT MY FORESKIN. I EVEN HAD A GUY,WHO WAS USINGH A LOCKER NEAR MINE BOLDLY TELL ME “YOU’RE VERY LUCKY” I ASKED HIM WHAT HE MEANT. HE DROPPED HIS TOWEL AND SHOWED ME HIS CIRCUMCISED PENIS. THE “BUTCHER” AS HE REFERRED TO THE DR. WHO PERFORMED THE SURGERY WHEN HE WAS AN INFANT AND COULD’NT OBJECT DID A MEDIOCRE JOB. HE SAID HE’D WISHED HE WASN’T CUT. I GAVE HIM A FEW SITES IN THE INTERNET THAT DEALT WITH FORESKIN RESTORATION. HE THANKED ME. SEVERAL YEARS AGO, A GUY I WAS DATING SUGGESTED I GET “CUT”. I TOLD HIM TO “TAKE A HIKE” HE PROBABLY WAS JEALOUS SINCE HE WAS CUT. BY THE WAY, THERE IS A VERY LARGE AMOUNT OF MEN WHO ARE SUCCESSFULLY RESTORING THEIR FORESKINS, ALBEIT WITH HOME MADE DEVICES. IT CAN ALSO BE DONE SURGICALLY, BUT THE RESULTS ARE SOMETIMES NOT SUCCESSFUL, AND IT’S VERY EXPENSIVE AND MEDICAL INSURANCE DOESN’T COVER THIS. THEY SAY “WE DON’T COVER COSMETIC PROCEDURES’

How QUEER is this article? Well turn me over and placer the Rainbow Flag over me and call me dead. This is not sex positive unless you’re into genital modification in a self mutilating sense. And with prominent scarification, no thanks. And with 65%-85% lost forever one’s sexual receptors, say who’s zooming who. This is crazy to glorify it here or anywhere near Queerdom. As crazy as straitjacketing one’s penis with its own skin! Now go away! And take your foot out from my door before I slam it too.
And for those against forced male circumcision and being circumcised, do NOT donate to Equality california, EQ-CA. They promoted politicians who wrote and passed in 2011 Calif. AB768 a religious free for all when it comes to penis on someone else. Politicians Fiona Ma, Mike Gatto and Mark Leno who did the talking. You can’t have sexual freedom without having all your sex.

I have no problem with this. These guys are making their choice as informed (hopefully) adults. It’s their body, their money, their decision, not the parents’ or a religions. And all you guys who go on and on about your beautiful foreskins – call me!

@MikeyMike:
>Here’s what I detail out to people:
What man doesn’t want 65%-85% more sexual receptors and no need for a Fleshlight. For this is what the foreskin provides among its 16 known functions.
>Cut men as a rule do not like their glans played with right after orgasm, but intact men do not experience this negative because they have the pleasure receptors to override the pain/ thermal receptors in the glans.
>The Glans-Ridged Band Dyad
There are two levels of sexual receptors in the dermis of the penis. The ridged band is a ring of innervated tissue just inside the tip of the foreskin, while the corona is the rounded base of the glans. On the top of the penis, there are more receptors in the corona while on the underside of the penis there are more receptors in the ridged band. This unequal distribution of nerve endings works in tandem to heighten sensation awareness. When the ridged band in the foreskin is completely removed (circumcision) this connection is disrupted and the increased sexual sensations are lost. Like going from stereo to mono.
The above is my hypothesis based on this work, the Frenular Delta by Ken McGrath:
The entire mucosa is invested with Meissner’s corpuscles (the nerve endings which mediate low-threshold and fine-touch sensation) which are heavily concentrated in the projections of the dermis that rise into the ridged band and in the frenulum. These corpuscles are innervated by thick myelinated axons of the epicritical sensory system. A recent quantitative study has shown mean axon bundle counts in the prepuce of 17.9 bundles/mm ventrally, 8.6 bundles/mm laterally and 6.2 bundles/mm dorsally.4 As each bundle contains tens of axons, the nerve supply to the prepuce is obviously very substantial.
>Dr. John Taylor penile and heart researcher – Sexual Function of the Dartos Muscle (loosely):
Upon erection the Dartos muscle tenses creating a one-piece solid skin tube, where any action on the penile shaft is transferred to act on the erogenous Taylor’s Ridged Band and through its loop to the Frenulum, this action it transferred to act on the erogenous Frenulum, together the male’s sexual nexus. No action on the shaft is wasted on these sexual structures.
Circumcision always removes all of the erogenous Taylor’s Ridged Band and part to all of it’s connecting Frenulum. Having this hangman’s noose of the male’s sexual receptors missing, no longer keeps the whole of the penile Dartos muscle tense. With tension gone, all action on the erect penile shaft is wasted to act on the Ridged Band and Frenulum. Action must be applied directly to the Frenulum remnant, if any remains. Meaning the intact man has his whole penile skin area to activate the erogenous receptors whereas in the circumcised if lucky has just the short narrow string, the frenulum remnant, and scarred and keratinized glands coronal erogenous receptors.
>Circumcision cuts off 65%-85% of the male’s sexual receptors (85% when the frenulum is cut or scraped off infant). This leaves 15% sexual receptors located in the glans corona where it’s overpowered by the more populous pain/thermal receptors, ratio 5% to 95%. It is this case that men report “If I felt anymore sensitivity, I think I would die of a heart attack!” (Larry David) Circumcision changes the way, means, and type of sensations felt. Circumcision sexually handicaps by hindering optimal performance.
>While I’m at it there’s this: And as Sex as Nature Intended, online, there’s pleasure receptors inside the penis. At the tip, midway, and base. Tip receptors are right under the glans. The glans activates these by gentile massage action. A tight circ. will push the glans down on the receptors so there’s no room for massaging. The mid and base are not nearly as sensitive as the tip interior receptors, but cut men will employ these more than those intact to gain needed sensations. Cut guys thrust left right, up down to increase pressure midway and at the base.

@Rasashy: There’s only two reasons that many men in Africa would be doing it later on. It’s either religious based or their too poor for basic hygiene practices. I don’t see normal atheists walking in to get it done though.

@DogCollarPistolWhip: It took a while, but we finally got to it: Blame the Jews.
It’s astounding that Jew-haters believe that a group that represents 2% of the U.S. population and about 0.3% of the world population has such inordinate power to control the world. If that were true, we’d certainly be a tribe of Supermen and women. Somehow that enormous power didn’t serve us very well in Europe in the 1930s and 40s, or many acts of genocide in previous millennia. Yes, there are many Jewish doctors, but they are not responsible for mutilating all those innocent, Christian babies, though I’m sure some conspiracy theorists and bigots like you will claim that they are.
ml66uk
@jwtraveler: It has to be said though that Jewish people are disproportionately represented in both the pro-circ and intactivist camps. The head of the CDC is Jewish, as are the chair and previous chair of the AAP’s task force on circumcision, as well as at least one other current member. Conversely, there are several websites run by Jewish people opposed to infant male circumcision.

@ml66uk: I think Rasashy might be confusing circumcision with lobotomy.

@Gruffling: Pediatrician and National Children’s Ombudsman of Norway says there is no reason to circumcise a child.

@PLAYS WELL WITH OTHERS: 50% to 85% tip is not so funny. That’s 50% skin and 65%-85% of the sexual receptors cut off forever. What do you have in your joke bag for foreskin restorers?

@Zenguy: Back in Italy your relatives probably are uncut.
There’s an episode of “Friends” where Joey auditions for a play and they think he’s perfect for the part, an Italian immigrant in the early 1900s. They warn him that he needs to appear nude, but that thrills him. But they’re also concerned about a certain, um, verisimilitude… an Italian Catholic immigrant of the period would be, ahem, “intact.” Being a modern American, alas, Joey is cut. Phoebe makes an artificial foreskin out of Play-Dough or something and sticks it on.

@ml66uk: Jewish people are always over-represented in areas that require intellectual and academic knowledge because we have a culture that encourages rational thought, independent study and critical thinking rather than blindly following dogmatic demagogues.
Sammy Schlipshit
@jwtraveler:
So, how does all this rational thought come into play with israel stealing Palestinian’s lands?
How does critical thinking accept building jewish settlements on what was once olive groves that the Palestinian farmers need to survive?
How does intellectual and academic knowledge justify the blockade of the West Bank?
Why don’t more and more rational, humanitarian jews condemn such activities?
vive
@Rasashy, I think your experience in South Africa is very different from mine. South Africa doesn’t have routine infant medical circumcision, so almost all South African white guys are uncut – it is rare to encounter a cut one. Among black guys, yes, circumcision is common in some of the more traditional tribal areas (depending on tribe though), where it is usually done in a very brutal way during adolescence. Even so, the black South African men I have been with have all been uncut, so I’m not sure about your statistics.
You don’t have to like foreskins, but I find the way you insult men with foreskins distasteful.
jwtraveler
@Sammy Schlipshit: Jewish Americans are no more responsible for the actions of the Israeli government than Japanese Americans were for the bombing of Pearl Harbor you f**king bigot.
Another thing Jews do is we do our homework before making unfounded accusations based on ignorance and hatred.
“Why don’t more and more rational, humanitarian jews condemn such activities?”
Here’s your answer asshole.

Sammy Schlipshit
@jwtraveler:
My, my, my. Why do you jews get so angry so quickly? That’s the same way and knee jerk reaction that israel treats Palestinians.
You first cast out an extremely broad generalization about the intelligence and accomplishments of jews so I just responded with a broad generalization of my own.
Here’s another fact….jews are not a race. It’s a religious choice. Anyone can become a jew.
Blacks, latinos, asian, etc. are races. One cannot choose to be any of those folks. One either is or is not….by birth.
I just can’t take anyone or especially religion seriously who mutilates their babies because of some weird voice of an imaginary deity.
Stache99
@Sammy Schlipshit: It’s the same as criticizing Muslims and getting accused of racism. You’ll remind them that Islam is many different races but it never seem to get through their thick heads.
jwtraveler
@Sammy Schlipshit: Good job demonstrating the stupidity of racism. I’m done with you.
Stache99
@jwtraveler: What BS> You didn’t start out saying “Jewish Americans”. All I heard was Jews as a culture are so much smarter and better then any other religion. Sammy brings up certain negatives so you change the rules and you call him a names.

Being from South Africa, I too can confirm it. Vive has probably seen only Zulu and Afrikaner men; they’re the only ones whose uncut dudes outnumber the cut ones.

@Zenguy: “Born in America to an Italian family, circumcision was the norm. Despite the fact that my parents were not religious, church-going Catholics, they followed some of the traditions, which included circumcision…”
Roman Catholics follow the Christian Bible (aka the New Testament) which prohibits cutting. “Sometimes people say that circumcision is Biblical and is therefore to be recommended to Christians. It is true that circumcision can be found in both Jewish and Christian scriptures. However, it is not true that the procedure is recommended to Christians.
In fact, the New Testament is clearly hostile to those who encourage circumcision, and opposes rather than encourages the procedure. The reasons for this are set out plainly in the text and can be seen in the words of Jesus, Saint Peter and Saint Paul. As a result, most Christians throughout history have not practiced circumcision. Circumcision is so important in the Old Testament for Jews (like Jesus and his apostles and disciples). However, it is just one of a number of Jewish laws that were abolished for Christians. Both Peter and John Peter attack circumcision and the Law of Moses in the Christian Bible. Paul, who began by persecuting the early followers after Jesus, ended his life as a Christian apostle and martyr. Similarly, Paul who circumcised Timothy, or at least had him circumcised, was to become the fiercest critic and opponent of circumcision and circumcisers in the New Testament.”
http://www.cirp.org/pages/cultural/glass1/
Jews and Muslims (which include Palestinians) do circumcise, but the rest of the world does not. The Christian world certainly does not and this includes Roman Catholics. Romans themselves as well as the rest of Italy do not cut. Italian Christians are intact, then, for both religious and cultural reasons. You were an atypical family, then.
rmarin776
Wow. These guys are talking about the recovery process and we think it’s okay to subject a child who cannot consent to this purely cosmetic procedure. If you want to do it as an adult, no judgment. But I don’t think any child should be have a part of them cut away for reasons that are not medical.
JLAD1105
I know violence against males – even infant and toddler males – is socially acceptable in the U.S. and other supposedly “enlightened” nations. Male circumcision should be banned, even for cultural and religious reasons; especially for cultural and religious reasons! I don’t give a damn who gets offended. We banned so-called female circumcision in 1996, even though it was never practiced here in the U.S. Males should be afforded the same protection. The right of infants and children to have their bodies left untouched supersedes the right of their parents to practice their religion. If anything, religion should be banned because that has caused more agony throughout human history than most anything else. Judaism, Christianity and Islam are the main culprits. Protect the boys and fuck the religion!
JLAD1105
@Mykaels: No, it’s not “trivial.” It’s part of the male physique and should remain that way, until the adult male decides what to do with himself. We grant females the right to control their own bodies. Why should males be treated any different? Aside from your chicken-shit attitude, trivial describes the religious and cultural reasons people use to cut up children’s bodies.
JLAD1105
@Captain Obvious: There’s nothing “laughable” about the hundreds of infant and toddler boys who dies every year in the U.S. from botched circumcisions. Laughable describes the religious argument people throw out every time this issue comes up. And, of course, it’s because some people (mainly politicians and celebrities) are afraid of pissing off Jews because male circumcision is primarily associated with Judaism. Personally I don’t give shit who it pisses off. God knows some Jews will use any excuse to play the victim. Laughable also describes the current transgender debate that’s raging across this country. Try to show some respect for men, dude! Of course, you’d have to find where you stashed your balls first.
