1969 Was A Very Good Year

Morning Aural: Creedence Clearwater Revival

Creedence Clearwater Revival really hit their stride in 1969. During those twelve months, the same the same year of the Stonewall Riots, CCR released three albums, Bayou Country, Green River and Willy and the Poor Boys.

In honor of that liberatory year – and CCR’s inimitable talent – we’ve included three videos from the aforementioned albums. Above you’ll see “Proud Mary,” which comes from Bayou Country. After the jump you can see a cartoon clip for Green Rivers‘ “Bad Moon Rising” and view a video of Willy and the Poor Boys‘ “Down on the Corner”, which is introduced by yesterday’s morning aural, Mama Cass.
