We must apologize for the tardiness of this Morning Aural. It’s absolutely wretched here in New York and we’re all sorts of sluggish and a bit melancholic, to be honest -hardly the way we want to start the weekend.
Some people may try to boost their morale with a poppy tune, but we’ve decided to go with the flow and post this video of John Coltrane and Duke Ellington‘s 1962 collaboration, “In A Sentimental Mood”. Definitely not poppy, but certainly a track every single one of you should cherish.
The YouTube poster warns you, however, the image has nothing to do with the track. It does, however, suit our mood. Hopefully it won’t bring any of the rest of you down. Unless you live somewhere warm and sunny, in which case we hope to see you down in these here dumps real soon…
