Can you imagine the international stage announcing the arrival of President Trump? On the basis of his name alone he can’t be allowed to represent America. FOX News were pushing Jeb Bush insanely until they realized that Trump had jumped ahead, so now they don’t even mention Jeb Bush… which proves how insincere their words were in the first place…The world does not want to look at Donald Trump’s face for the years to come.”
— Morrissey speaking the truth in an interview with The Daily Beast
Peter McKinney
Says the man whose voice caused so many in the 80s to puncture their own eardrums.
broadshoulder
I love Morrissey!
Ives Meagher
….agree, and this is news?
William Meyer
He’s right!
BJ McFrisky
Well, if someone as insightful and politically astute as Morrissey says it’s so, then we might as well just call off the election and coronate Hillary tomorrow.
robho3
Not that I support trump but how is this guys opinion relevant in 2015?
Giancarlo85
Reading all the right wing comments on here astound me. This isn’t a right wing rag. Trump is a fool who only represents angry white men. Get with the reality please. Morrissey is correct. Donald Trump is a douchebag that would collapse this country.
biguy
Haters gonna hate Trump
Giancarlo85
@robho3: How is Trumps opinion relevant today? Answer that. He appeals to angry white men.
I’m just waiting for him to make a comment about rape. A reporter should ask him what he thinks about that. Republicans love talking about rape. It’s a tradition that spans back to the 1990s.
Insulting huge segments of voters isn’t going to win Trump shit. Sure drum up angry white men (some of which post on this site)… that won’t help you win the election. It isn’t 1980.
@biguy: Oh really? Trump seems to be doing the one most of the hating!
biguy
@Giancarlo85: hating on carried interest and geographical boundaries for insurance exchanges
Tony Chaplinski
his face is just the beginning of what I don’t like about trump
Giancarlo85
@biguy: What are you talking about? Write a coherent thought, idiot.
Kieran
“Can you imagine the international stage announcing the arrival of President Trump?”
I didn’t even know the “international stage” could talk.

I have no real issue with “celebrities” voicing an opinion about politics… even if said celebrity isn’t actually a voting citizen of the country in question.
My problem is when folks in the media elevate these opinions as if they are important or relevant to those of us who aren’t on the pop-charts or in a movie. I don’t base my vote on what Tim McGraw, Beyoncé, Ted Nugent, or Ellen Page think. Anyone who does probably shouldn’t be voting. It makes about as much sense as asking your mailman how to vote.
crowebobby
An arrogant, loud-mouthed asshole representing American? Europeans would never believe it.
Realitycheck
@crowebobby: LOL, thank you, you just made my day!!
But seriously I doubt Trump is qualified and would probably get us in a war with China and Russia with in weeks.
What is truly scary, people in general are starting to like him, even some democrats, why?
The appearance of a strong leader that can tell people off no problems, and media coverage
that is relentless.
As we all know the electorate is evenly split in 3 groups; Republicans and democrats, are two, and to win one must get the majority votes of the third group, the independents.
skilos
Well Morrissey, face and voice are nothing I want to see or hear either. And Ted Cruz is so sour and evil looking. If you want to see him smile, you gotta turn his picture upside down.
ParisNat
Who is this guy?
I don’t want to see his face either – far less have to look at it!
scotshot
@Realitycheck: Trump and pretty much the rest of the GOTP field, plus add to the list Korea and Iran (well, actually the rest of the globe). Did you see Scott Walker on the news this morning?
Avery Alvarez
It’s unfortunate but Trump does in fact represent a certain part of the American voice.
Does that mean he’s going to be president? Absolutely not.
He kinda reminds me of the Penguin, from the movie “Batman Returns”,
“I’m gonna play this city like a harp from hell!”
I agree with Morrissey, I don’t think America needs any of the Republican clown car nominees representing it. Still getting over the embarrassment of Bush #2.
Hun
Wow. I didn’t think anybody was dumber than Ricky Martin. Guess I was wrong.
Giancarlo85
@Kieran: International Leaders would laugh at Donald Trump. Even Carlos Slim laughs at Donald Trump. Trump is a failure.
@Avery Alvarez: Trump represents a certain percentage but a small percentage. Not even close to enough to win an election.
@Hun: Hey look everybody another right wing idiot.
BigG
probably one of the few things hes said that I completely agree with
Kangol
I love Miss Thing’s music both with the Smiths and as a solo and agree with him about Herr Drumpf, but I wish he’d apologize for his ugly comments about Chinese people.
Being talented and on point from time to time does not give you a pass to be r@cist against an entire nation of people, Morrimessy.
Eddie Poole-Boccio
Isn’t this the same guy who said he was groped at the airport? I don’t think anyone wants to look at that either. But I agree…#dumptrump
Kenny Jones
OK, fellow gays, you heard it from Morrissey & Queerty, so now what? All of the gays who are supporters of Donald J. Trump have officially been told “No! Stop it! You can’t do that any longer!” which means it applies to 1 or 2 gay men throughout the entire United States?
Thanks, Morrissey, for your 2-cents. Very helpful indeed. :/
blackberry finn
@Giancarlo85: OK, you’ve said “angry white men” now several times. We get it, It makes you seem oh-so-courageous and “down with it”
Giancarlo85
@blackberry finn: Shut the fuck up.
Giancarlo85
@Kenny Jones: There are some gay republiturds who infest this website and peddle their stupid agenda. Keep an eye out for them. They hate everything democrat, and egg on Hillary constantly. When someone points out all the faults of republicans they go missing.
John McKenzie
It’s not only his face we don’t want it’s his attitude and fucking aragance
