If Mr. Gay China wins the Mr. Gay World pageant this weekend in Oslo, it’s going to present quite the dilemma: The identity of China’s beautiful person isn’t being revealed due to security concerns, since he went against Chinese officials’ demands and flew to Oslo for the competition anyway. That’s a bold move, given authorities shut down the Mr. Gay China pageant, and organizers, who originally said they would send a contestant anyhow, later stated they would not. Evidently, the pageant’s Chinese representative was selected by his peers.

eh? Actually, the identity is already out. The candidate is 25 years old Xiao Dai, an ex-model and founder of an LGBT organization “Xinjiang Rainbow Group”. He comes from a Muslim family.
He’s cute, very brave, and prominent activist as well 🙂
I can’t imagine the pressure of being him right now. A founder of an LGBT organization in a city with Muslim populated in China, and going there against the China’s demand. 🙁
