Tony Perkins not only wants to criminalize “immoral” “disgusting” “perverted” homosexuals for attempting to “destroy innocence, religious freedom, and ultimately, the family,” he’s also gonna provide CNN, MSNBC, and FOX News with commentary on the GOP primary and 2012 election throughout the next year! Look forward to none of the channels acknowledging his leadership of an anti-gay hate group nor asking him about his ties to white supremacists. Isn’t election season fun?!!

For me this is akin to hiring the Grand Dragon of the KKK as a commentator.
ewe
Tony Perkins has a smelly crusty asshole.

This Nazi Christian needs to be committed already.
Little Kiwi
@QJ201: i was gonna say the exact same thing.
hanford
come on people!!!!
are any of you even surprised by this???

Please! MSNBC’s Rachael Maddow has a racist, anti-Semitic, homophobic Pat Buchanan as a frequent guest! The man has made a career of being the beloved bigoted curmudgeon of establishment TV!
Face facts: racism and homophobia are still acceptable in a wink-wink-nod-nod way from the major news organizations because these twisted beliefs are still popular with many “mainstream” voters.
Sure, these “conservative” pundits won’t use n!gger or f@g, they’ll just use code words and stereotypes to get their points across.
Same old sh!t, different day.

And I’m told the media is our friends, often. And I laugh, and smile,
and tell those people, “oh, there you go again, with mush.”
Chuck
Disgusting. Unacceptable.
Politically Incorrect Thug
I too think the man’s opinions are bullshit, but that’s all they are: opinions. So what do we do when we see Mr. Perkins being interviewed by Piers or Rachel or anyone else who wants to give him a platform? We turn the channel. It won’t destroy his career, but it will send a message.

Can we finally stop the pretense that CNN and MSNBC are liberal?
darlea
if you homos don’t like this then do something about it!!!!
write to CNN and the other media, threaten boycotts etc….
the crustybastard
EVERY gay-friendly commentator or pundit needs to ask the anchor or host — ON AIR — why their network invites bigoted leaders of theocratic hate groups to provide political commentary.
Cite examples of Perkins’ extremist views, then ask how the network’s decision to provide a platform promoting religious extremism helps sensible viewers/readers make rational political decisions?
They’ll get sick of trying to answer the question eventually.
Steve
“EVERY gay-friendly commentator or pundit needs to ask the anchor or host — ON AIR — why their network invites bigoted leaders of theocratic hate groups to provide political commentary.”
Second that — except, put quotes around “political commentary.”

The only reason Tony Perkins is given so much airtime is because a large portion of the American populace share his views on gays and other minorities. This is the same people that voted for Bush twice and will vote for Romney or Perry.
LandStander
@tjr101: Actually they only voted for Bush the second time, but point taken lol.
BubbasBack
I wonder how Ms. Anderson Pooper feels about this? Keepin’ ’em honest, Andy? Hehehe. Burp.
Queer Supremacist
@Politically Incorrect Thug: In this case, if you don’t like the show, don’t watch is like saying “if you don’t like the air, don’t breathe.” This is not a Full House rerun we’re talking about. This is a breeder goy with proven ties to white supremacist groups being treated as a credible commentator for a political election rather than as the defendant in a war crimes tribunal or, better yet, target practice.
