We were going to write something on Janet Jacksons’ new album, but judging from the comments on yesterday’s posting, you guys have already formed opinions. While some of you love the album, others aren’t so pleased. For our part, we’re somewhere in the middle.
Anyway, we thought we’d do our part to bring people together by posting the video from Janet’s classic “What Have You Done For Me Lately?” That’s something we can all enjoy. (Unless you’re some sort of monster.)

Isn’t it funny how Jan and Madge have kinda been given different personas now: Janet is “tight and course” supposedly and Madge is trying to play Mother Theresa after achieving tenure and 3 PhDs in self-absorbtion?
As for the new album, I like it. And that’s all you have to do. Our queens are getting up there and still giving us stuff to dance to; they’ve given us things to think about and entire careers to imitators (ie that Louisiana girl) .
Now it’s just time to dance!
