Congressman Jerry Nadler loves them trannies. The New York-based Democrat just released a statement declaring his support for a trans-inclusive ENDA:
In recent weeks, there has been much discussion among ENDA’s supporters about how to reach our shared goal of passing the strongest possible bill. Some believe that a bill that does not prohibit discrimination based on gender identity has a better chance of being adopted by the House. I know that those who argue for this route do so out of a sincere belief that this is the best strategy for passage at this time, not because of malice or indifference towards the transgender community.
I believe, however, that civil rights are best advanced by bringing forward a bill that adequately protects all members of the LGBT community. While this may be risky, that is not reason to accept defeat before the fact, and leave behind members of the community who desperately need protections against employment discrimination.
Nadler will appear on Michelangelo Signorile’s radio show later today to further explain his decision. Mara Keisling of the National Center for Transgender Equality will also stop by for a chat.

People who vote against the bill, whether their disagreement stems from the right or from the left, are voting against gay rights and gay equality. Were I in Nadler’s district, he would have lost my vote today.

The gutted Democrat version of ENDA is a waste of time and effort. It won’t fly in the courts or the commissions. It’s toothless. It’s an empty, cruel hoax perpetratedf against all GLBT folk.
The loathing of transsexuals and the open treachery of marc, adamblast, Frank, Pelosi and their attack chihuahua Frances are the only issue. They’re the real betrayers of the real GLBT folk who desperately need a real ENDA with real teeth to win in court.

The Democrats version ENDA is in the tradition of their DOMA and DADT bills; like them it’s an attack on our GLBT communities. It’s treachery. It not an anomaly, it’s the reality of their approach: use, abuse, and discard.
If you want to know why most of us think supporters of the bogus ENDA are transphobic just look above. You’re buddy adamblast is typical of those who support the Democrats betrayal. You’ll notice above that Congress member Nadler says he supports the authentic ENDA, but does NOT say he’ll vote against the fake Frank version. Your little friend adamblast nevertheless blasts Nadler simply because Nadler supports the inclusion of transsexuals. It’s because adamblast is transphobic. Marc, another supporter of the bogus ENDA says that the murderers of Gwyn Araujo were right to use the detested and dishonest ‘gay panic/gay rage’ defense. Many in the fake ENDA splinter group use gay bashing terms like ‘tranny’, ‘freaks’, ‘mad tranny disease” etc.
A few days ago Ian, a 16-year old transgender youth committed suicide. TransActive Education & Advocacy, a group supporting youth of all genders in Portland, Oregon sent out this letter:
“Late Monday evening I received the news that I have dreaded since beginning my advocacy work on behalf of transgender children, youth and their families. I knew this day might, indeed would have to come, but I hoped with all my heart that somehow it would not happen. Ian, a 16-year old transgender boy committed suicide yesterday. As sad as the death of any child can be at any time, in any way, the loss of this child, in this way at this time is particularly painful for many of us.â€
As Rod Serling so eloquently put it, “There are weapons that are simply thoughts, attitudes, prejudices… For the record, prejudices can kill and suspicion can destroy, and a thoughtless, frightened search for a scapegoat has a fallout all its own…â€
When you people throw part of the GLBT communities under the bus remember, that has a human dimension. Does you party loyalty trump your humanity. Evidently.

Marc did not say that the defense in the Araujo case was “right”. He DID say that the verdict of second degree murder with long prison sentences was correct, AND that the murder was unjustifiable in any case.
Your story about Ian has nothing to do with ENDA. It was a suicide, not an employment issue. Many gay and lesbian youth commit suicide as well, and although all of their stories are heartbreaking and speak of the larger homophobia in our society, those stories are not applicable to ENDA. The bill is about EMPLOYMENT. It is not possible to wipe out all homophobia and self-hatred with any kind of legislation.
You speak of “party loyalty,” but do you even know how I vote? I actually despise our American system of parties and would like to see it dismantled, but you don’t care about facts now do you?
Your quibble with the word “multitude” is laughable at best. Multitude is a general term meaning a great number. There are indeed multitudes on BOTH sides of this issue. But for some reason you feel the need to try and bully by pretending that you have MORE people on your side.
It was fun dissecting the fallacies in your post, but in the future I will most likely return to my usual course of action when I encounter a post of yours here or elsewhere. Namely, I scroll right past it without reading your elongated exaggerations.
