Nate Berkus And Jeremiah Brent Become First Same-Sex Couple To Marry In NY Public Library

People magazine confirmed news of the nuptials and has an exclusive photo of the two happy grooms. Berkus, 42, and Brent, 29, became engaged during a visit to Peru in April 2013. Their ceremony, officiated by officiated by Sheri Salata, president of Oprah Winfrey‘s Harpo Productions and attended by family and friends including Winfrey and Rachael Ray, marks the first wedding for a same-sex couple to be held in the iconic New York Public Library. People reports Berkus wore a J.Crew suit and Brent wore Saint Laurent and the couple exchanged identical Van Cleef & Arpels gold bands.
