Actor Neil Patrick Harris and husband David Burtka marked 18 years since their first date over the weekend.
Both of them took to Instagram to post messages.
Harris posted a photo of him hugging his husband during a trip to Ecuador, saying, “Our first date was 18 years ago today. And David Burtka, I am not about to let you go. Happy anniversary. Thank you for showing me the capacity of my heart. I love you so much. ❤️@dbelicious ❤️”
This prompted an “Awwwww” response from singer Adam Lambert and praise from other followers.
“y’all were the first example of queer love that was visible to me growing up ❤️ congrats and cheers to many more years together!!!” said one.

My husband of 57 years were able to get married on June 10, 2004 in Massachusetts, then it became the law of the land in 2015! Congratulations to this couple!

Can’t they just sit on the couch and tell each other this?
Jack
Sounds like @Jazz don’t go NO-body to sit on the couch with…much less celebrate her 18th anniversary. Don’t be a bitter bitch. These are two grown ass married men deeply in love with 10 year old twins. Suffer with your jealousy.

The love of my life couldn’t even pick up his cell phone, that I gave him, to let me know where he was going after he got off work at midnight? Destroyed my trust.

This November we will be celebrating being together for 33 years. Legally married for 15 years. And blessed with a 10 year old son. Love is beautifull if you allow yourself to be embraced, consumed by it.

This is very uplifting. It brings the hope to many people that love can be theirs no matter who they are.
