This just in: Gus Kenworthy and his boyfriend Matt are doggy daddies… again!
In a new Instagram post, Gus explains that he and Matt have adopted another pup, just a two months after losing their beloved Beemo.
The guys rescued Beemo from a dog meat farm in South Korea during the 2018 Winter Games in Pyeongchang. Sadly, less than six months later, she entered doggy Heaven after it was discovered she was born with an enlarged heart.

In an Instagram post published yesterday, Gus explains, “The day Matt and I visited the horrifying dog meat farm in South Korea we witnessed a mother dog giving birth to a litter of pups.”
They ended up saving Beemo that day, but they stayed in touch with the Humane Society International.
“After Beemo passed away I was feeling completely empty and I reached back out to the Humane Society International to find out what happened to that litter,” Gus continues.
He learned the puppies were still in South Korea awaiting their forever homes. After working out some logistics, Gus arranged to adopt one of the dogs from that little. This week, she arrived in Washington, D.C.
“She’s a 5-month-old Jindo/Lab mix and we named her Birdie (because birds were one of Beemo’s favorite things in the world),” Gus says.

“Nothing in the world could ever replace Beemo or the love that we felt and still feel for her,” he continues, “but Birdie has already stolen a new place in our hearts and we’re excited to be dog dads again.”
And now, without further ado, heeeere’s Birdie…
The day Matt and I visited the horrifying dog meat farm in South Korea we witnessed a mother dog giving birth to a litter of pups. The people at @hsiglobal told us that had they not been there filming my visit nobody would've seen the pups immediately and they likely would've died in the brutal cold. Luckily though I saw them and they were rushed inside and saved. A few weeks later when all 90 of the dogs on that farm (including Beemo) were flown to North America that mother and her newborn litter were the only ones that stayed behind because the pups were too young to travel. After Beemo passed away I was feeling completely empty and I reached back out to the Humane Society International to find out what happened to that litter. I found out that they were still in Korea and I began getting photo and video updates on them as I waited for another farm closure and an opportunity for them to be brought to the States. That finally happened and four days ago I picked this little girl up in DC. She's a 5-month-old Jindo/ Lab mix and we named her Birdie (because birds were one of Beemo's favorite things in the world). Nothing in the world could ever replace Beemo or the love that we felt and still feel for her but Birdie has already stolen a new place in our hearts and we're excited to be dog dads again. A HUGE thank you goes out to @hsiglobal for bringing our new baby home and for all they do for animals in need around the world (follow them and support their cause). Also an immense amount of gratitude goes to @awlaarlington for taking care of Birdie in DC until I could fly there to pick her up! I am going to continue Beemo's Instagram with pupdates on Birdie. I was nervous that would seem disrespectful to Beemo's memory but I actually LOVE the idea that both of my beautiful little girls will share the page. Also, a huge part of the reason I started Beemo's page in the first place was to continue promoting rescue animals and raise awareness for the dog meat trade and since the page already has a following I thought it'd be more impactful to keep it going rather than start all over again. @b_pups #DogsAreFriendsNotFood #AdoptDontShop ?????????? ??
oh God. here he is again…….
next we might will hear how he worked out a bad back-up with Colace and Metamucil…. you think?
Lacuevaman… Does someone pay you to offer up your nastiness? It’s just so consistent…
Funny thing is you clicked on the picture to read the story, Lacuevaman. Obsessing over Gus much?
queers are not homogenous
get over your sissy, vapid, constipated selves…..
Just show us your hole, Gus. Just show us that sweet hairy tight little hole. THat’s all any of these queers on this site really give 2 farts about.
Good for you Gus, you did a good deed.
“Gus arranged to adopt one of the dogs from that *little* (emphasis added).”
This is why spell check is not enough. One still needs to proof read. I belief the word should be, “litter.”
*believe… if we are going to criticize, we have to play by the same rule!
OMF, MacA… one should be taking one’s own advice, I BELIEVE…
Hoisted by my own petard!
I’ll take all three pups.
This is a major announcement????
Come on, Queerty!!!!
P.S. Hey Gus. Was it necessary to post a pic of your new pup with your shirt off?? :-p
The dog is beautiful, but is he ALWAYS shirtless? I mean, he’s cute and all but…
Slow news day? Gay dudes adopt puppy…who the F gives a damn?
Are you kidding me. Did you see him shirtless. What else do you need?
… my only gripe about this is the fact that apparently there are no homeless, needy pets in New York because Gus has to import them Korea … I get that those dogs *were* in a horrific situation there, but they had already been rescued …
Kind of lame. Who cares if they adopted a dog? Have some kids. Better yet, adopt some that are in need of homes! That would be more newsworthy than this, at least continuing to show that, yes, gays can raise children as well as straights.
All the effort & logistics… and then take only ONE of the litter??
Look at the love in Birdie’s eyes!
Oh yay yet one more semi-famous (in their minds anyway) gay couple of the month adopted yet one more dog. And the gay world is swooning because Gus big surprise has managed to lose his shirt again. Can we get a little something with more substance please?……(I’m only here for the comments)
Congratulations HOT DADS! I’m am thrilled and overjoyed with your new acquisition!!!
Really great news.
