New Details In Shooting Of Teen Lesbian Couple In Texas

Tri-County Crime Stoppers has released this video with additional details in the shooting of Texas lesbian couple Mary Kristene Chapa and Mollie Olgin that left Olgin dead and Chapa severely wounded.

On June 22, Chapa, 18, and Olgin, 19 were shot by an unknown assailant in a public park. At the time police said their sexual orientation may have been a factor but, “we have not been able to establish that that had anything to do with the attack.”

The video states “the teens were walking late a night when they saw a man walk past. A few minutes later he returned with a mask and gloves. He forced them to a secluded area before assaulting and shooting them.” The suspect is described as a white male in his 20s, 5’8  and 140lbs, with brown hair and a scruffy beard.

Since the attack, groups nationwide have held vigils and raised money for a $20,000 reward for any information. You can anonymously contact Tri-County Crime Stoppers online or at 800-245-TIPS (8477).

They say they now have a “person of interest” does anyone have any further details on that? Is it the guy they originally suspected (nickname Smooth)?
