Performing last night at the Nokia Theater in New York, as part of his Glam Nation Tour, Adam Lambert kissed his male bassist. There seemed to be some licking in there too. I have not seen the tour so I don’t know if this is a regular thing, or just when VH1’s cameras are rolling, but I’m sure you’re about to tell me.

I’ve been, and this unfortunately is not a regular thing.
Markus
I like Lambert. If that guy was my bassist I’d kiss him every chance I got.
Haley
LOL! Did you not realize that the bassist is the same guy he kissed at the AMA’s? ;D
Lee
Tommy looked pretty. Adam kissed him. The End.
jamison
gah, love him.
Lisa
Mmmmm, licking! http://i45.tinypic.com/35aprbl.jpg

I think he licked his bandmates face the night before, but sadly VH1 wasn’t there to capture it. I’m all for it tho, if he’s feelin it in the moment on stage. *brb replaying vid*

These two go to somewhere , humm ! I am a woman and I find that play- kiss- lick is sexy, I’m wrong?
Franco
I am possibly in the minority here, but I don’t like Adam Lambert. I think he should concentrate more on his music than the theatrics, same goes for Lady GaGa. It all seems so attention hungry to me. I want to like him, but he irritates me. I don’t buy this attitude of his.

I saw four shows before the two at Nokia, and Adam never kissed or licked his bass player once in those four shows!
Damn!! Sorry I missed it. 🙂

For all those “in the know”, playful interaction between Adam and Tommy has long be a part of their stage craft. Whether it’s hair pull, back-to-back lean or, in the case above, a snog, there’s something always going on. Because the public wants it, goes crazy for it and demands it. As Adam told Jim over MTV, he gets as frisky as the audience wants him to be (obviously within limits). As a straight woman I find the interaction very playful, enjoy the positive energy these two give each other and frankly, I wouldn’t mind a more, hm, in-depth demo, if you catch my meaning 🙂 I can only hope that the West Coast shows will be somewhat similar, even though the O.C. is not New York… To #1, J.L. – if you say “Unfortunately” – then you’ve never been to any of THEIR shows, have ya’? Great – more tickets for us!
CG
They’re hot, and Tommy is about as straight as a curly fry. The look on his face says it all.

@Franco:
You’re being disingenuous – If you wanted to like him, you would. He’s eminently likable. In fact, if you watch an interview with him, you’d find it hard to NOT like him.

Sandra
His fans, and yes mostly girls/women at this point, LOVE the interaction between Adam the Tommy the bass player, and it is not at all concerts, but some playfulness is.
The AMA is OVER and gone and this is his show in front of a paying audience and not on TV! He reads the crowd interaction and improvises accordingly. He will never make everyone happy but so far is doing something right. Big fan base and sold out shows so far and international love. He just won the MMVA international fan video award in Canada this past weekend! If you don’t like it go look for some plain vanilla…
Bobert
I see the glamberts fangirls are here again…
ewe
well at least he is consistent. I admire that.

I know that Adam identifies as gay but is kissing another man really necessary as part of his singing? I feel he’s trivializing himself.
At the same time, I can understand Adam’s comments recently about how women are allowed to “explore their sexuality” whereas men are required to abide by more strict standards of public behavior. There definitely is a double standard.
It’s particularly concerning that female entertainers – and women in general – exploit the concepts of same-sex behavior for sleazy reasons, and not because they have any genuine connection to the GLBT cause, which Adam obviously has.
You only have to look at the “bisexual” women who perform in “straight” porn. These women don’t give a fuck about GLBT rights. They’re whores, pure and simple.
JuliAn1413
Thank you for filming this! I LOVE Adam & Tommy xoxox It was so delicious!
Laurie
Adam kissing his bassist should become a required part of every one of his shows. The two of the are so HOT together, and really do make a beautiful couple. Tommy claims to be straight, but who could resist Adam’s kisses? I’m hoping by the end of this sold out 70+ show tour, Tommy will at least be bi!

@Sandra:
That’s not true. Nokia night one was 1/3 to 1/2 men. As blogged by Rickey Yaneza, who is not exactly a fanboy of Adam or “glamberts”.
swarm
@Bobert:
Be glad. They are raising sons, students, boy scouts, brothers, cousins and paying lawyers, doctors, plumbers and chefs. They will not tolerate any homophobic bullshit now that they know Adam Lambert and his wonderful friends.
swarm
@jason:
No it’s not necessary. It’s playful. Occasional. And it’s a fan service. You see them crack up, right? Besides, the two of them are very close and like family. The audience LOVES THEM TOGETHER and screams at the top of their lungs LOL. It’s during FEVER did you hear the words:
There HE goes
My baby walks so slow
Sexual tic-tac-toe
Yeah I know we both know
It isn’t time, no
Be happy that Adam Lambert is being HIMSELF and turning on the rest of the world watching him.
You should all go download Fever AND the FYE album from iTunes.
SUPORT OUT LGBT ENTERTAINERS! Everyone wants Fever to be the next single but the HE pronoun and “menage a trois” reference to “you me and the stars” apparently will turn children into the devil.
(night one with the rock and roll tongue/face lick was hotter but this was cute lol)
ForeverGay
Funny! Adam and Tommy now have similar haircuts too.

MTV review in part:
Adam Lambert Whips Up Frenzy On Glam Nation Tour
The glam-pop singer’s vocal fireworks were as electric as his stage show during a two-night stint in New York City.
NEW YORK — Adam Lambert brought the drama, the voice to a sold-out two-night stint at New York City’s Nokia Theatre, stopping in Times Square on his Glam Nation Tour. Lambert aimed for spectacle with video screens, backup dancers and extravagant costumes and makeup. But as cool as the lasers were, all the bells and whistles were no match for the glam-pop star’s vocal fireworks, which were in top-notch condition on his Tuesday and Wednesday dates. His pitch-perfect pipes proved to be the real star of the show
Wednesday night’s audience was especially raucous. The energy in the venue extended from the back row all the way to the front where a group of good-looking young men planted themselves, glued to Adam’s every move.
Besides “Whole Lotta Love” and a quick face-lick with his “glitterbaby,” bassist Tommy Joe Ratliff Tuesday night, Lambert’s onstage antics were relatively tame. Adam may want to reconsider his promise of a “family-friendly tour” given that his fans screamed loudest the few times Glam Nation pushed the envelope, including one brief moment Wednesday night when Adam simulated masturbation with a cane…..
LOL you go Adam Lambert.
jason
Adam is talented, no doubt about it. But these gimmicks really don’t serve his talent. Instead, they scream “cheap”.
I’m all for men being honest about their sexuality, whatever that mey be, but there’s a time and place for everything. I personally don’t think a concert tour is the place for it.
swarm
@lnf:
Read #1 again. He said unfortunately there was no kiss when he went.
Ricky
@jason: place for what? It’s not like he dropped trow and started servicing him right there! It’s called working the crowd. He sings pop-rock music. Standing up there and behaving like Sinatra would be a waste of his talents and pressense. He’s not a prude. It seems most of his fans (me included) appreciate it, and that is what keeps him going. Don’t like it… don’t watch. It is as simple as that, love.
Sandy
I’m a woman of a “certain age”” and find the sex-play between Adam and Tommy fantastic. I love them and their entourage and all of the people who love them, too. Adam, you are one sexy dude.
jason
I’m sorry but a concert tour is not the place to exhibit your sexuality. It’s cheap and tacky. Concerts should be about the musicianship and the voices and the artform. These are skills. There’s no skill in making out with someone on a stage.
There’s a time and place for everything. You don’t spit on your loungeroom floor, do you?
hannah
@jason: Many female pop/r&b singers/performers parade their sexuality on the stage all the time. Regardless of whether or not they are kissing, many of their dance moves are very sexually suggestive. I suppose you might not like any of the top female pop/r&b singers on concert. That’s okay, but Adam isn’t really doing anything that different.
junco
@ Jason : It’s only 4-5 seconds of his 65 minute-long show, and he doesn’t do that in every show. He did that because he was singing “Fever” – a song about sex and being seductive. He is just interpreting the lyrics. So there’s nothing wrong or cheap to do those actions. I don’t want to watch anyone standing still or being serious when singing this kind of songs! This song just requires some craziness and being frisky.
Or I guess you think every kiss in any movie is cheap and tacky? Every song about sex is trash?
Besides, he really showed “the musicianship and the voices and the artform” in his tour. Watch some youtube vids of them, songs like “Soaked, Aftermath, Whataya Want from Me, Broken Open” he is serious and only concentrates on singing. Anyway, I don’t want to convince or persuade anything – just to give you some other information about Adam’s shows if you’re interested!
L
Exactly Junco. Those people aren’t gonna forget the whole concert and his voice just because his bassist and him like to get playful during “Fever” and kissed for 4 seconds.
Unfortunately Queerty likes to focus on the snippets and gossip side of some things. They could have posted Adam singing “Aftermath” which is an empowerment song and pretty much about coming out but they’d rather go with what they think is “juicier” pffft.
jeffree
Let’s be honest that Adam is the first gay male rock star to come out *Before* he made it big !!
Lets’s be real & say that even if, for whatever reason, someone doesn’t like his music, that Adam is popular worldwide. I mean all OVER the globe.
I am gonna get hella lotta votes down for saying this but even if U don’t love his music, you should love how he gets all kinds of people excited about him & his music.
Closest comparison we have to him is how Ellen DeGeneres convinced millions of str8 people in Middle America , that—–drum roll–gays want the same things as str8s: to love, live, & do what we do best:
Keep from getting fired if the boss hates gays, get all married in cool clothes, settle down, maybe raise some kids, and be kind to our neighbors!
Kinda simple, eh?

@jason: concert tours are actually all about the gimmicks and crazy stunts: anything to put on a good show that gets good word of mouth circulating. I saw Adam Lambert live and his show was spectacular. He didn’t kiss anyone when I saw it but his dancers and his dancing were a bit sexually suggestive. If you listen to his music, you’d make the correlation. Most of his stuff is about sex in various forms. Fever is alegedly about an erection. Those who pay to go see his show should be more than aware of what they may be getting themselves into and as he said, the kissing usually happens if the vibe from the crowd eggs him on.
And further more, since when is a kiss considered parading ones sexuality for all the world to see. We really have become a prudish society if this has become the case. A kiss is a sign of affection that can signify many things ranging from lust to friendship. I find it preposterous that someone could be offended by a kiss of an nature… dry or wet… because it isn’t obsecene at all.
Furhter still, your definition of what a concert shouldn’t be just took out a bunch of tours. Michael Jackson, for example, was well known for putting on shows that went beyond his music. He was, after all, a master showman.
HACJECDLC
How could ANYONE not want to kiss these two adorable guys?!

Adam interview yesterday talking about designing the show and the message. And how he’s HAPPY and not interested in being uber-cool.

I’m all for Adam being honest and upfront about his sexuality. Indeed, he IS honest and upfront. For that, I congratulate him. But I don’t like gimmicks that are out of place.
He’s confirming that gay men are sex-crazed, basically. As for female singers, they’re repulsive when they inject unnecessary sexual moves into their shows. Madonna was a repulsive creature in her time who has since spawned a multitude of repulsive attention whores.
josh
Well, this gay guy is a fan of Adam Lambert. He is an awesome singer. He has amazing vocal range and can go so low and then go into a very high falsetto.
So many critics compare his voice to Freddie Mercury.
I’m going to go to Adam’s show when he comes to me state next month.
I think if more gays gave him a chance they would really like his music, his personality, and his image.
josh
Yeah a lot of his songs acknowledge his sexuality.
He talks about “pretty boys” in Sure Fire Winners. He sings about a male love (“there he goes, my baby walks so slow”) in Fever.
Aftermath is about coming out.
A bonus track that is available through itunes and his site, Master Plan, is also about gay empowerment (it talks about how people are afraid of what they don’t understand and how there is a new generation that doesn’t care and he playfully alludes to “don’t ask don’t tell”).
Other songs have a gay sensibility about them (If I Had You talks about him putting on his makeup, Strut says to “open your mouth and open it wide”).
Its a very gay album. And that is a good thing!
Lisa
@swarm: Thanks, had not heard about that “moment” so I had to go watch. I know that we are insane in our obsession with Adam but I really hope that it can somehow make all of us closer and more kind and caring towards each other. Living along the Gulf coast, we are seeing how precious life is and how fragile. We really do need to come together to love and support each other. If that is Adam’s message, I hope everyone will take heed. We should try to take the world to a better place if we can. Okay, go ahead and beat me up for being a dreamer. Sorry, just really saddened by the crap going on down here.
Shannon
Fever is a song that celebrates flirtation, and Adam flirts as much with the audience as he does with Tommy. The audience obviously loves it, judging by the roar that goes up every time he does it. Tommy, whether he’s straight or not, is obviously a willing participant. Like the old song says, “A kiss is just a kiss.”
tara
Adam is sexi as hell
Bill Perdue
Kissing another man in public is a good thing and we all ought to do more of it.
But if it’s done to provoke play safe and make sure you have a beefy defense squad handy in case the christians have a fit.
Marcus
So fucking hot.
Andie
Looks like he puts on a good show although it’s not on a big scale. I like that song a lot. It seems like he might be a little timid after drawing so much fire after the AMAs but he shouldn’t be. Everything he said during that “controversy” was right. He should do what he wants and let the chips fall where they may.

Enjoy Adam’s finale here, (before encores) at Foxwoods venue size 4,000… before it gets removed (as RCA’s been pulling them off of youTube) don’t say the name of the song…or it’ll get pulled.
Watch for the fanboy on the right after around 4:50 with Adam-like slicked back hair- filming, jumping, waving and having fun.
He really puts 1000% into this show and is so gracious to his band and dancers. The dancers got ragged on at first and Adam made it clear they’re all his friends and considered family and if you don’t like them, don’t go.

Adam will help us all in the long run to be more open-minded, and better people, because he is slowly tearing down barriers.
It doesn’t hurt that he is one fantastic performer and singer, either. No wonder so many love him. Talent like that doesn’t come along very often.
He is also providing hope for gay teens (and some straight teens too), with his message that it’s OK to be different.
I admire Adam a lot.
kepi
adam and tommy are so adorable here…adam’s giggle afer…obviously playful, and just down right fun!! 😀
kepi
whoops, “after”(the pecking)..lol
Deb
Its true, a kiss is just a kiss, there most likely isn’t a gay guy in the audience who doesn’t wish he were Tommy at that precise moment in time. Actually…I am a straight gal, and would not mind being Tommy for that moment if it meant being that close to Adam Lambert. This guy is a fabulous entertainer, has been for this fan since his first AI performance. He knows who he is, is comfortable in his own skin, comfortable with his sexuality, has over the top talent, and from all accounts is just a nice, nice person, who could ever want more from him then all that.
Anita
@swarm: Thanks for your comment. I believe you are right on point. I only come to this website when there are articles on Adam, but while here, I have read some social/political issues I didn’t even realize still existed. I for one have definitely become more vocal for your rights and I’m sure others have also. Don’t hate us because we are straight females. We can fight pretty darn hard when we believe in something. Adam has done more to help your cause by just being so kind and generous that everyone no matter what race, sex or age, just love him.
Thanks again.

@Franco: I seemed to have made a mistake with voting. I meant to give you a thumbs down for your remark. I disagree with your comment about Adam, and Lady Gaga, but I’m a big fan of both so my opinion would be different. I think if you were to follow both entertainers more closely you would see why so many people love them. To see them perform live is one of the most memorable experiences you will ever have. They are both incredible.

@swarm:
i was at the nokia on the 22nd and foxwoods on the 24th. there were plenty of boys all glammed out at both shows. i hung out with a cute couple at the nokia, and though they were gay guys and i’m a straight woman, we enjoyed every sexy move adam made, on his own, and with tommy, including the licks. as adam lambert says, “sexy is sexy.” anyone who has eyes and a libido and isn’t a prude would get off on that man! no, he didn’t break out the kiss until this show, and kudos for adam waiting util the 1st tour date that press was allowed in to do it too. i’d say he marginally toned things down at foxwoods for the families that were there maybe. plus, connecticut plays differently than nyc. besides, adam has said that he plays each show differently and feeds off the energy of the audience.
all said, adam never disappoints and his live shows are a must-see!
Destiny
it’s a beautiful thing they have <3~ i'm so happy they've taken to show it on stage~ ;D
love when they kiss! yum! so sweet! and hawt. 😀
