These signs are popping up around select British railway stations — part of their managers’ effort to cut down on the rampant problem of people full on slobbering all over each other’s faces in public. Ew, gross, nobody wants to see that. But as Jaunted postulates, does the male-female sign mean only heteros are barred from snogging, while the gays can still get it on?

I like in the UK and I soooo can’t wait till I see one of these, because you just know I’m going to see if I can find out. If there’s a suitably hunky gay guy around, of course…
Bruno
Maybe one of those is a cross-dresser, how can we tell from the picture?

The one on the right is obviously a drag queen.

No kissing means no kissing.
…or snogging as they say in the ol’ UK
What don’t you guys get?

This would not fly in Italy, letmetellyou.

They’re not kissing, though; their lip aren’t touching. I think the sign means ‘no close-proximity gurning’. That’ll be my defence, anyway…

At work, we used to have a sign on the door. The very small text said “NO PETS except service animals”, but the picture was a dog with the no sign over it. A woman came in with a snake and insisted we couldn’t tell her to leave because the sign only said no dogs.
Not quite the same thing, but if you know what the sign is intended to mean, why not leave it at that?

High Wycombe station on the other hand…

Why would people get turned off by people kissing in public and showing affection between 2 humans>? Paaleeeease! More people should kiss in public! I think it’s kinda kool to see people lovin, it says we can overcome a fear filled world. With this economy, a show of affection on any level would be heartwarming and helpful. More hugs too!
