Is the National Organization for Marriage backing away from Miss California Carrie Prejean? It’d be an easy assumption to make, given this statement: “A number of media sources have described Carrie Prejean as a spokesperson for the National Organization for Marriage. As we made clear at our press conference yesterday: Carrie appeared with NOM as a private citizen; she does not work for the National Organization for Marriage. She is a spokesperson for her own views, as anyone watching her can tell. We are grateful to Carrie Prejean for her willingness to stand up for marriage. We would love to work with Carrie in the future if she chooses, and we wish her well in all her future endeavors whatever she chooses. We’re proud of her. Americans are proud of her. She is a remarkable young woman. Thank you, Carrie.”

“She is a spokesperson for her own views, as anyone watching her can tell.”
Translation: She’s so dim, even WE can’t understand what she’s talking about.

Maybe it’s a possible (pathetic) attempt at keeping The Miss California title from being stripped from Carrie? Saying she is not really a spokesperson for NOM, even though that’s exactly what she is. Either way NOM is become synonymous with stupidity, fake boobed spokesperson or no.

@Wayne: Wayne, I don’t think it’s fair to call Miss Prejean “fake boobed”. I think she’s a REAL boob.
tavdy79
@ajax: Surely you mean the whole of NOM are real boobs?

As usual, people that speak the truth are always the one’s that get ridiculed. This country and world keeps pushing away from traditional and PROPER family values. Ask your Grandparents what they think of Miss California’s answer. Yea, that’s what I thought. They’d be behind her 1000%. Facts are facts people. We were designed in Gods image and created to procreate with each other of OPPOSITE sex…Why is this so hard to understand??
Dan
@Mike: It’s prejudice and attempts to deny people their rights that are driving people away from God and the Church – and the post you just made is a part of that.
Jesus didn’t marry or procreate, and neither did most of his disciples. Paul was single as well, and he said that he wished all people would remain single as he was. The book of Revelation says that 144,000 will be praising the Lamb in the last day, and not one of them will have procreated, because all of them will be virgins. None of that would be true if God meant for everyone to procreate.
Furthermore, same-sex marriage ceremonies were part of the official church liturgy until the mid-1600s. Society isn’t departing from its traditions but returning to them.

Miss Carrie Jean is right, marriage is a biblically sanctioned union between a man and a woman. When is Carrie Jean going to appear on The Bachelor, along with the other siliconed and peroxided groupies, fawning over and under some supposed millionaire? Very sacred institution, this hetrosexual marriage. Jesus is most impressed.

@Dan: I will not disagree with the fact that Jesus and his disciples did not procreate. Jesus was not brought to the earth to procreate. He was brought to save all of our sorry hides and gives us a way to to get to the father. As Jesus Said” “I am ??the way, ??the truth, and ??the life. ??No one comes to the Father ??except through Me.” I don’t know what Bible you’re reading from, but in mine says in Leviticus 18:22 (THIS IS OUR LORD SPEAKING IN CASE YOU WANTED TO NOW) “You shall not lie with ??a male as with a woman. It is an abomination”. Sounds pretty cut and dry to me. We can go on about this all day, but the bible is very clear on it’s stand of homosexuality. IT”S AGAINST IT. i NEVER WROTE, I JUST QUOTE IT
Betty
You conveniently left out the rest of Leviticus to support your argument there Mike. Have you read all of Leviticus or are you upset that Dan disagrees with you? So per your argument we need to abide by everything in Leviticus. Have you?
Also, why are you posting on this site. Are you gay? Bi-curious? Straight-acting? Very suspicious.
