Terry Crow is campaigning to become mayor of University City, Missouri, and has the support of the outgoing mayor and has the backing of the Victory Fund, because he is a homosexual.
Well, it at least helps. If elected mayor of the St. Louis-adjacent city in April, Crow would become the state’s first openly gay mayor. And his family — he and partner Tom Peters have a son and a daughter — would become the first First Family of any Missouri town. In addition to holding down an attorney gig, Crow also owns a hair salon chain. Of course.

Why the bitchy tone? Terry has been involved in the St. Louis political scene (and announced that he was running for U City mayor) long before Annise Parker became mayor of Houston. His partner is running for U City school board, too. You forgot to mention that. Instead of being proud of gay men and women who are trying to make positive changes, the writer of this article takes an almost rude approach…and then has to end the article by playing up a gay stereotype. Pitiful.

So we now control Houston, Paris, Berlin, Hamburg and soon to be Toronto, as far as major cities go.
Not to mention Portland, the largest city in my home state, Providence, Zurich, the largest city in Switzerland.
I’d say we’re doing pretty good. ;]
Andrew
Lol. I just noticed I used the word ‘control’. That may be a bit strong, gay politicians belong to everyone — of course, but you get my drift.

I agree with John – Terry Crow and Tom Peters have been active and productive political leaders in the Saint Louis and Statewide. No need for the snide nature of the post.
Terry was also endorsed by the state LGBT organization PROMO.

Don’t forget Providence. That Mayor now wants to run for the federal Senate.
