While he has no doubt tapped into the anxiety so prevalent in the United States today, I do not believe Donald Trump reflects the principles or inclusive legacy of the Republican Party. And I sincerely hope he doesn’t represent its future. As much as I reject Donald Trump as our party leader, he did not create the political culture of the United States on his own. Eight years of the divisive tactics of President Obama and his allies have undermined Americans’ faith in politics and government to accomplish anything constructive. The president has wielded his power — while often exceeding his authority — to punish his opponents, legislate from the White House and turn agency rulemaking into a weapon for liberal dogma. In turn, a few in the Republican Party responded by trying to out-polarize the president, making us seem anti-immigrant, anti-women, anti-science, anti-gay, anti-worker and anti-common-sense. Unfortunately, the understandable anger and fear haven’t given rise to a resurgence of purpose in politics or renewed a debate in our party about how Republicans win back the White House with the power of our ideas.”Jeb Bush, in a recent op-ed published in The Washington Post

Any LGBT person with two working brain cells knows they’re anti LGBT. Hell read their platforms. As a blue collar worker and 43 year member of the Steelworkers Union I can sure vouch for the Pubbie basturds being anti worker.

You have to hand it to the GOP’s ability to avoid dealing with their bigotry or try to explain away and claim that bigotry isn’t bigotry.
So lets cut right through Bush’s words. lgbts got rights, and bigots are upset and that’s what happened.
So in other words, he is giving Obama credit, or blame, for the pro-lgbt laws and attitudes in the country and THAT is what caused the GOP to go full bigot against them.
Well yes, if lgbt rights hadn’t moved forward they would’t have had to put it in the platform because there was no need to since we didn’t have those rights.
Bush must also think that feminists are responsible for rape since they pressed to have rape laws passed.

It is so funny to hear “please clap” “low energy” Jeb!, (No I’m not a Trump supporter but I like the label low energy that he bestowed upon Jeb! because it is an apt characterization), talk about Obama being divisive, or overreaching his powers, or creating ISIS, when his brother was much more divisive than Obama. Dubya basically shredded the constitution with the patriot act, and Dubya is responsible for creating ISIS, by destabilizing the region by overthrowing Saddam. All the issues Jeb is griping about are on his brother’s doorstep. It’s funny to see him try to blame Obama for the problems his brother created, but seeing as it’s his own brother, his perspective is naturally clouded and biased. Just be quiet Jeb!, America has had enough of you and your bumbling family.

May I suggest those wanting to use gay conversion, that they submit to the program for the length of 90 days to see if they’re still straight or gay. First one tries it with me sure better make sure their insurance is paid up because I’ll put them in a world of hurt.

Hey Jeb Bush, You are now a relic according to your own republican voters. Your opinion does not matter anymore. These words you say make it very clear you do not see the bigger picture and you, your family and supporters like to hate on those different from you while you get so wounded when someone slams Latinos because that’s personal to you. Typical republican: Nancy opposed stem cell research until Ronnie could benefit. Cheney opposed Bush not pardoning his longtime assistant who broke the law.
Can anyone define hypocrisy?
With those policies it is no wonder you and your kind are a relic. You are out of step with ‘All men are created equal’. Your politics are now ancient. Go hate on others

Miss Jebra, please go sit somewhere and close that trap! You blew your attempt to extend the Bush(ed) dynasty of failure, which included letting Osama bin Laden murder 2,300+ people in the US and destroying Iraq which unleashed ISIL. W did that, as well as letting New Orleans nearly drown, blowing the deficit open, overseeing the worst financial collapse since the Great Depression, and happily supporting loads of anti-gay legislation. W Bush did all that, Jeb!
Now the Frankenstein monster you and the rest of the GOP birthed is running amok and there’s nothing you can do about it. But then you stole the election for your brother in 2000, so just remember, karma is a b*tch. DEAL WITH IT! PS: You can go watch a Dumpster fire in Nebraska with sassy Senator Sasse if you can’t take the circus in Cleveland but girl, get it together!

Here’s a little quote for Jeb from what I am sure is his favorite book, at least hypothetically:
““Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. 16 You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? 17 Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Therefore by their fruits you will know them.”
The “fruits” of the republican party are clearly not very good! Opposition to health care for those in need; the desire to withdraw food assistance from those who work for the minimum wage they refuse to raise; opposition to increased in veteran benefits; the growth of abusive dangerous for profit prisons; the drive to make women into baby incubating machines by undermining roe vs wade while simultaneously trying to destroy sex ed in school with statistically proven effectiveness; the destabilization of huge areas of the world through ignorant and poorly conceived “nation building” plans. Not to mention a significant group of them wants to re-criminalize homosexuality.
The upcoming election will be a strong indication that they are soon to be cut down and thrown into the fire.
Any bets on who will respond by the old mantras of “look out the dems want to let Muslims in to kill homosexuals”, “nobody hates like hateful liberals”, as if these somehow address anything that has been posted here?

Mr. Bush, you have stated publicly that you will not attend this years convention. Please don’t use us as an excuse to get into Trumps good graces since he IS leading her in Florida. You are clandestinely kissing his ass for a cabinet appointment and I hope he says “fuck you” once again from that podium this Thursday night.

Jeb Bush: a pathetic wannabe whose time in the limelight is past. His lies are finally catching up to him.

What a horrible, degenerate loser, exceeded only by his imbecile war criminal brother, and his wimp father. Truly a family from hell.

Does he blame Obama for his brother and father’s failed presidencies too? You know they’ll find a way.
While we’re at it, why not blame Obama for his mother’s flatulence as well?

kevininbuffalo, Before Scalia gave up his ghost, the Supreme Court was about to make Unions toothless by making dues optional (Freidrich v California Teachers assc.) The GOP wants their political oxen on the bench so badly they salivate.

“A few”, Mr. Bush?
A FEW??
Have you seen your party’s BASE? They’re who put Donald Trump where he is now!
Maybe you should reconsider how republican YOU really are.

“Jeb is a mess.”
Mo Bro
Where in that statement, exactly, does Bush blame Obama for gay conversion therapy?
DCguy
@Mo Bro:
Ahhhhh, the typical Log Cabiner, pretending that something wasn’t said and just hoping nobody will do the obvious and cut and paste. Seriously, it must be EXHAUSTING to continually and desperately try to change the topic and defend a rabidly anti-gay party.
Bush’s quote….”In turn, a few in the Republican Party responded by trying to out-polarize the president, making us seem anti-immigrant, anti-women, anti-science, anti-gay, anti-worker and anti-common-sense.”
Mo Bro
@DCguy: So let me get this straight: Bush saying “anti-gay” is code for “Obama is personally responsible for gay-conversion therapy”?
You libs and your crazy-ass “dog whistles”—Freud would have a field day with you.
