Barack Obama‘s campaign comes out swinging this Tuesday!
With John McCain and Sarah Palin pulling ahead in the polls, Senator Obama’s camp put together this commercial taking on the Republicans’ so-called “Maverick” attitudes.
In addition to taking on McCain’s siding with George W. Bush, this advert, which will be run in battle ground states, also highlights the fact that seven of the candidate’s closest advisors have worked as lobbyists.
As for Palin, her “Bridge To Nowhere” flip-flop takes the brunt of the blast. The narrator concludes, “Politicians lying about their records? You don’t call that “maverick.” You call it more of the same.”
This latest advert comes in response to a McCain commercial entitled “The Original Mavericks,” which we’ve included down below…
How about we take this to the next level?
Our newsletter is like a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.

That’s nice, but it would be nice if you mentioned that Sen. Biden and Sen. Obama voted to fund that very bridge – twice.
Alexa
Even if that’s true, Jose, it’s irrelevant. Obama and Biden aren’t hypocritically touting having said “thanks, but no thanks” to it like Palin is.
Love the ad, let’s hope there are many more to follow.

Biden isn’t touting his position on the bridge as a reason that he is a “reformer”. Has nothing to do with Palin lying to the American people with a smile on her face.
Just. Like. Bush. Did.
Maybe it’s not her fault though. Maybe she’s possessed by a spirit and speaking in tongues. “God made me do it,” she cried.

Jose,
what’s yr problem?
Why mix Biden into this?
Why are you confusing the two issues?
Do you not see the obvious hypocrisy, as pointed out by your hosts here at Queerty, or:
Are you a plant?

Good luck with Madame (Elect) Goliath, boys!
35 yr. Kodiak fisherman
Sarah Palin received allot of support from Alaska’s fishing community when she ran for governor.
The next ex-president Bush lifted a ban on oil drilling in what is probably the richest fishing grounds in the world, the southern Bering Sea. This area is the spawning grounds for Pollock, cod and halibut. I myself have caught a halibut off Kodiak that was tagged just three months earlier in that exact area 700 miles away. This area is also spawning ground for Red King crag Tanner crab and a major passageway for salmon returning from the Bering sea to Bristol Bay. Sarah made no attempt to keep this ban in place. To protect the livelihood of people she used to work with she should have opposed the lifting of the ban.
Sarah said she worked in Bristol Bay salmon fishing but has voted against a bill that would strengthen Alaska’s clean water laws. This bill would have stopped construction of a mine that through various sorts of pollution would and/or will kill the Bristol Bay salmon. Alaskan families have spent 10s of millions of dollars to fish in the bay and the salmon run represents 100s of millions of dollars in income to thousand of Americans forever but Sarah has done nothing to protect those waters and insure the continuation of the salmon and therefore the jobs of people she has worked “with”.
Sarah said she would allow foreign processors to work in Bristol Bay to Utilize the salmon that the local canneries are not capable of handling. She knows the the local salmon processors just won a price fixing, class action lawsuit even though the state supreme court justices didn’t read one page of the 45,000 lbs of evidence against the processors. She knows the bay needs infrastructure so fishermen can sell their own fish to people they know to insure a fair price. Sarah has done nothing to help.
The world famous Exxon Valdez oil spill were Exxon was ordered to pay damages for ruining the pristine Alaska coastline and Exxon was told if they were to pay expeditiously , they would only have to pay half, is a joke. A SUPREME court gave exxon a slap on the wrist making them pay only 5% of the half they were supposed to and they are allowed to continue oil operations in alaska We still have not seen any money. Sarah has not uttered one word of distress over this obvious joke, Alaska’s court system and will probably not make sure Exxon pays the taxes on the punitive damages fund exxon was ordered to establish.
Sarah is hell bent to continue the give away of Alaska to outside corporations at the expense of people she has worked with and her constituents. She knows what is happening here and does nothing. Is she ignorant or a materialistic girl. My guess is allot of both. At least she knows why hockey players sit in a penalty box!
