Thank goodness that only five million Americans truly don’t have health insurance, as Karl Rove’s fuzzy math point out, because President Obama appears poised to drop the public option from his health care reform effort. Then again, Mr. Rove is taking more deductions than tax-savvy corporation, subtracting anyone from America’s 307 million population who could theoretically afford health insurance but chooses not to buy it. Oh, did we mention Rove earned one-and-a-half million dollars from a single book deal?

If republican seniors don’t like the public option and socialized medicine, why don’t they return their medicare cards to the federal government and go out and buy additional private insurance instead if its so bad? I’m sure they can afford the exorbitant premiums and annual hikes as well as not allowing pre-existing conditions. Come to think of it, why aren’t the republican politicians in both houses refusing their own government provided health plan?

Exactly…It bothers me when the Republicans and conservatives bitch about the health care plan, and say it is socialism. I was in a conversation with someone the other day that was bitching about Obama and saying that he is going to turn the whole country into a socialist economy. And these people were seniors on disability. I had to mention that if it were not for socialist policies in America, then they would be living in a cardboard box somewhere, or dead because they would not be able to get their medicine. If these conservatives don’t want any kind of government involvement, then there would be no disability, no medicare, no welfare, schools, police, road repairs, etc.

First, Republicans and blue-dog Democrats in elected office, who are actively telling Americans that there should be no public option, should themselves drop their public financed health insurance!
