Because we needed to attach recreational drug use to the story of JetBlue flight attendant Steven Slater, we learn he was high on “Blue Juice,” which is basically a hormonal reaction to how awesome the airline is. So does his meltdown mean it’s possible to overdose on free Terra Blue chips and DirecTV?

This guy is helping guarantee he’ll never get hired again, by anybody.
His actions make him highly un-employable.
Think about it, if you were a potential employer, would you want this guy representing your company knowing he’s just a falling suitcase away from having a complete meltdown because dealing with the public is “just so draining”.
Seriously.
We need to not give this story any more airtime.
It just perpetuates the stereotype that gay men:
-are flight attendants
-are bitchy queens
-are drama

Putting aside wheather or not he may be employable – people (not just gays) are loving this story because EVERYONE has had one of those days where someone keeps pushing your buttons and you go home just WISHING you would have punched them in the face or kicked them in the balls or yelled a long string a profanities at them……….but no one ever gets to. Everyone would love to do those things – just not suffer any repercussions. It remains to be seen what if any he will suffer.

Well, here in Sane Adult World, we all *know* there will be repercussions. You know how I learned that? The hard way. I did what this lamebrain did when I was 19, walked out on a job in the middle of the day, just up and left with no warning.
Fast forward three years and I’m desperate for a job (it was the early 90’s recession) and I go back to that company and apply. I apologize profusely to my old co-workers still there and to the old boss, which works, they want to hire me but the main office won’t let them because of what happened before. Net result: I have to move back in with my mom & dad and their rules or else end up on the streets. Fun times! [not]

Steve Slater’s act was a laugh until you stop and realize that an unauthorized slide deployment could have killed people on the ground, could have started a fire hitting another plane or vehicle. He did not help his cause at all by going on YouTube and saying that he has thought about doing this for 20 years.
