Dying to show off your LGBTQ pride for Donald Trump?
No? Oh. Well, then you probably don’t care that the reality-TV-star-turned-Republican-nominee-for-President just released his very first piece of LGBTQ swag on his official campaign website.
It’s a rainbow colored t-shirt that says “LGBTQ For Trump” and looks as though it were designed by a very non-LGBTQ graphic design intern who may or may not (probably not) receive college credit for their free labor.

How about we take this to the next level?
Our newsletter is like a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.
The “equality tee” is being sold for $30 a pop (+ S&H) and only comes in men’s sizes. (Apologies to all you Trump-loving lesbians out there.) It can be found buried deep, deep, deep within the pages of Donald Trump’s online campaign store, where there is absolutely no risk of anyone who may not be “LGBTQ for Trump” accidentally finding it and getting upset.
Also available is a matching “LGBTQ For Trump” pin for $5.
Trump, as you may or may not remember, claims to be the “biggest supporter” of gay people. In fact, he once vowed to “do everything in my power to protect our LGBTQ citizens from the violence and oppression.” In fact, he’s such a big, huge, tremendous supporter of all things gay that he picked one of the most stridently antigay Republicans of our time, Mike Pence, to be his vice presidential running mate. In a warped twist of irony, the back of the “equality tees” actually say Mike Pence’s name.
We’re sure these babies are going to be selling faster than whatever overseas print-on-demand service the Trump campaign has contracted to make their swag can produce them.

Does it come with a cheatsheet featuring his long, disgusting list of r@cist, white supremacist behavior, commentary? Spare the environment and just say no thanks!

How can any SANE LGBTQ support Donald Trump? He’s already stated he would appoint a Supreme Court Justice who would overturn Obegefell v. Hodges. Someone of you don’t want to marry? Then DON’T GET MARRIED. But there are many who do.

I completely disagree with one of the commenters. In fact it reflects the outdated and old attitudes of the Gay community.
This is not 1970s anymore. What a old, outdated ridiculous comment.
We have some sense of liberation, Gay equality, acceptance in the media and among people and have had our largest Pride Parade in many of our largest cities. Sadly due to a terrorist attack by an Islamic revolutionary. Not due to weapons policy which HillBilly wants to sell you but due to an immigration failure.
Gay people are not victims. We have to move forward but now we are potty-training men at gender neutral toilets at the DNC, in schools, and having flag burnings at the DNC – which was rigged according to Wikileaks?
Despite your very outdated Gay politics on Queerty, there are many Gay millennials who understand that they don’t want to get injured or murdered in terrorist attacks in Orlando, or on the streets of in London, Paris or Germany or anywhere else. They also don’t want their mothers and sisters raped on the streets of European capitals due to immigration policy disasters.

@mw11: How do you feel about the fact that he’ll appoint ultra conservative judges who will overturn marriage equality? How do you feel that the Republican platform clearly states they want the overturn of marriage equality? These issues do not matter to you?
Kangol
@ouragannyc: He clearly DOES NOT CARE about the reality right in front of his face. Instead, scary Muslim others are what he’s worried about. And does he ever ask why there’s turmoil in the Middle East? Why all these countries that European colonial powers, primarily Britain, created or conquered or disrupted, are in such bad shape? Why those societies are torn apart today but weren’t 40 years ago? Why Iran hates the US–oh, that’s right, we installed a monstrous puppet there whom the Islamists overthrew. Or Afghanistan, where the US gave weapons to Osama bin Laden, who Ronald Reagan called a “freedom fighter”? Or Syria, where Assad’s father was a client of the US and other Western powers for years? Or Saddam Hussein, whom Reagan and HW Bush US used as a proxy against Iran, only to have W Bush overthrow him and unleash a Pandora’s box of horrors we’re still dealing with? Or Egypt? Libya? Somalia? Yemen? I mean, these countries didn’t just turn into basket cases over night! Then there’s the Bush family’s fave, Saudi Arabia, which allegedly spreads radical Islam all over the globe!. On Saturday, we learned from the US military that the founder of ISIS had been a prisoner in the notorious Abu Ghraib prison, one of the many abominations that George W. Bush’s disastrous Iraq War put into the word. Yet they want to vote for yet another deranged, incompetent Republican hom0phobe. Wasn’t George W. Bush enough for them???

Please do not listen to the troll Kangol. Most of his venomous comments which always “label” people. What a nasty irony for a gay person to nastily label someone else all the time?
But the question is that men Gay and Straight know things are changing. Because a Gay guy with platinum dyed blond hair who self0identifies as “fabulous” on Brietbart can attract among a straight and gay audience many, many, many larger than Queerty.
We’re not talking about Queerty’s success at 10 commenters per article, but over 10,000 commenters on a single Breitbart article.
Yep boys. This is not 1970s Gay world. The world is changing.

@mw11: Kangol doesn’t look like a troll to me. He reflects a view many hold–that ISIS and the like were created thanks to right wing policies and politics.
Did you somehow miss the sarcasm in his comment?

Stop with partisan politics and click baiting.
September 11 happened a less than few months after a DEMOCRATIC president’s administration, whose disastrous foreign policies contributed to the disaster.. So the actions in the 8 years of the Clintons before them MATTER. I had to visit the funerals of a lot of people at September 11. I could only imagine parents seeing their Gay sons in Orlando. As a reminder, the largest terror attack after Sept 11 was ORLANDO against GAY PEOPLE.
Of course there were so many tragic wars under Clinton, tragic incompetencies and sadly tragic bombings of our embassies in which hundreds died. Thee bombings of USS Cole and bombings of US embassies in Kenya and Tanzania. Just under one Clinton, there was Bosnian wars, Monica Lewinsky and many other women, dark backgrounds in Arkansas and endless scandals.
Most military advisors say that male Clinton could have taken out Bin Laden in ann air strike around 1998 according to reports but was too scared of collateral damage of a crooked royal nearby.
If Gay people, think that the new administration (which it is rigged for according to HER own emails from WikiLeaks) will help them, good luck bros. Nope Trump, Stein or Bernie are not the devil. Contrary to Queerty.
mw11
Oops also forgot Somalia, China political disasters in the 1990s, Russia and Benghazi (in which one of the murdered was GAY, the ambassador). Just unfortunately too much to talk about with the Clinton mess
Heywood Jablowme
@mw11: Strange how you start with “Stop with partisan politics” and right away in the next paragraph you blame Democrats for everything.
Bush’s attorney general John Ashcroft in the summer of ’01 seriously declared that the biggest terrorist threat to the U.S. was from… animal rights activists! No kidding. (The Atlantic magazine Sept. 2016.)
Bush famously ignored the CIA’s 8/6/01 memo, “Bin Laden preparing to attack U.S.”
And then, of course, Bush went and attacked the wrong country, under false pretenses, in the long run creating ISIS.

Stupidity actually leaves everytime Trump enters a room. Even it doesn’t want to be associated with him.

@mw11:
I LOVE how the anti-lgbt Log Cabin Trolls come in here and can NEVER say why lgbts should vote for Trump. They just scream insults about Clinton’s and make vague comments about Muslims.
Two thoughts for you guys. If you hate Muslims, and claim and the types of anti-lgbt laws that exist in Middle East countries why support somebody who wants to pass similar anti-lgbt laws here? We aren’t stupid.
And secondon’t, if you are going to post under multiple screen names change your writing style so it isn’t so easy to spot you.

The problem with gay folks in this election is that they’re constantly bemoaning about which candidate will do what’s best for them.
Here’s a novel thought: Try for a moment to think about what’s best for the country, and not just those within your personal bubble. I know it means being selfless and open-minded when you step into that voting booth, but it’s people with broader minds who make our great country what it is.
MediaGuy
Clearly there are a lot of gay people who are not voting for Hillary this election. I am one of them. Many, many of my friends who are looking for hope and change are going to vote for Trump. The choice is about protecting gay communities against the introduction of gay-hating immigrants. Have you been to Paris lately? There is a lot of anti-Jew, anti-gay sentiment on the streets. I just don’t want that in New York.
@Kangol: American military HAD Al Bagdadhi in custody and we set him free under the insane, suicidal rules of engagement of the Obama administration. Nice going to the genius Obama. This is not new information.
@Mack: No way Trump is capable of overturning marriage equality. He can appoint an entire supreme court and it still won’t happen.

Gays need to start thinking about what is best for the country and not who is better for their egos.
highestbidder
@Brian: I respect what you’re saying, but the truth is (as they say in Texas) “ya gotta dance with the ones what brung ya”. The Republicans have never brought gays and lesbians anywhere. Democrats haven’t exactly been fairy godmothers, I agree, but President Obama and the Democratic congress was able to repeal the ban on gays in the military. We have gay marriage in all 50 states. We have a much better outlook and future than we ever did in US history. Every equality we have been able to achieve was battled (and is still being battled) by Republicans. The Democrats have brought us to the dance, and that’s who we need to dance with. It’s not voting for our egos, it’s voting for our lives.
dwes09
@MediaGuy: “The choice is about protecting gay communities against the introduction of gay-hating immigrants.”
Fact is that the danger to LGBT people in this country is from Christians and right wingers, not Muslim Immigrants. Fact is that exclusive of the 9/11 attacks, most terrorism has originated with Christians. Omar Mateen, the Orlando Shooter was born in a solidly middle class New York suburb to a family his neighbors described as “all American”. As with many American spree killers, he had issues with mental illness. It is astonishing how easily you right wingnuts are manipulated by manufactured fear.
Orlando had NOTHING to do with immegrants of any sort. Trump will not devote any effort in protecting us. He has made his bed with the White Supremicists (particularly those in the Christian Identity movement) and anti gay extremists who constitute his base, and he has repeatedly refused to distance himself from them.
Thankfully there are not enough fools and tools to get him elected, and come November we will see an experienced and effective politician in office, not a narcissistic liar who cares only for himself.
Making America Greater (no need to make it “great again”) is what has been going on for the last 8 years, as statistics make clear. There is no reason to revert/regress to the repeatedly failed policies of the right.
dwes09
@highestbidder: Brian does not think of himself as gay and dislikes the word and everything about it. He is “a man who has sex with men”, as the statisticians and clinicians call those in denial about their affectional preference. So the fact the all our advances (and in fact all the advances people of color have made) have been championed by progressives in the Democratic party is meaningless to him.
Also like so may of the log cabin folks he is contrary simply to be contrary. Kind of like some of the nerdier kids you knew in middle school. There is little intellectual integrity in their positions, and a warped understanding of what constitutes self-interest.
Brian
@highestbidder: I agree that the repeal of gays in the military was an achievement of Obama. However, it did take a while to achieve it. Nevertheless, I give credit to Obama and the Democrats for it.
@dwes09: Yes, I do dislike the word “gay”. While it has been politically empowering, it has held back male-male sexuality in the broader context of society. It has made male-male sexuality smaller and less dangerous, which is a perfect outcome for those who like to be small and safe. However, it has distorted what male-male sexuality is really about, and has also enabled female privilege at the expense of all men.
“Gay” is basically the fence around the enclosure at the zoo designed to keep us inside and away from the rest of society.
MediaGuy
@dwes09: Okay bro, I’m cutting you off. How much Kool-Aid have you had? Give me the keys, I’m getting you a ride. You’re a fucking mess right now and vomiting all that rhetoric hasn’t helped. Doesn’t know when to quit.
