We’re generally fans of Michelle Obama’s fashion sense, but we really must wag a finger at the future first lady’s dress from last night. What’s going on with that? Perhaps it wouldn’t be so bad if she didn’t have that black silk cutting across the red, but we’re not sure.
Michelle, when you’re packing up for the White House, leave that number behind…
Regardless, that’s one good looking first family!

How about we take this to the next level?
Our newsletter is like a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.

good looking you say?
well i guess so if you’re into beastiality

I’m glad I’m not the only one who thought that dress was a mistake.
Maybe up close, in person, at a cocktail party. But NOT on the big screen.
RainaWeather
I liked the dress. It looked really good when she first walked out. It’s like fire!
Marc
She looked beautiful, put away the knives bitches!
NOTHING, I mean NOTHING better to talk about?
retrofit71
really? i liked it. i thought it was graphic looking and cool.

Ah, yes. Prop 8 looks like it will pass and gay blogs are busy commenting on Michelle’s dress. And they wonder why we don’t have equal rights? Perhaps, in part, because most Americans don’t take our civil rights struggle as seriously as other movements. Sometimes I wonder if we have the right to blame them…
“OMG, I wonder what’s on Bravo tonight?” :-/
Adam
@ Paul…
Let me guess… you ignored all the political posts and choose to comment on one that isn’t? Why aren’t you commenting on the “morning goods” posts? Those do more harm then talking about Michelle’s dress
Paul
@ Adam:
“To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.” Ecclesiastes 3:1.
I understand this blog is a mixed bag–politics, dresses, and Morning Goods. I guess I just hoped that on the day after such a historic moment as Prop 8 we could avoid for one brief moment, “Did you SEE what she was wearing?”
Perhaps you’re right…

F*ck the Mormons and all religious nut-jobs! Thankfully Obama won and we can be catty now. I thought the same thing – what was up with that dress? She looks like a big black widow spider!
Alexa
The dress made her look huge, definitely not flattering. But it wasn’t as bad as Jill Biden’s suit, which looked like a Wal-mart knock off of something Cindy McCain would wear. They both normally look so great.

I agee Marc, Michele is a lovely woman, compassionate, and not afraid to voice her opinion. I’ve seen Hillary in outfits that have her looking like the janitor. Mr. Bush. regardless of what she wore had no personality.
Ty
Narciso Rodriguez Spring collection.
Ahem!
Let me cover all the bases: Woo hoo! Obama Won! Great day in US history. Prop 8 failed. But on the bright side, by a very narrow margin. We shall overcome–NEXT TIME!
Sorry, but this gay must also comment on Michelle’s dress–hideous! Woman, you were on stage at a history making moment and you were wearing a “black widow spider” dress?! WHAT WERE YOU THINKING? Your first duty as first lady will be to fire your stylist–if you have one! Otherwise, hire a good stylist and pronto!

Obama will celebrate by snorting some coke and fucking the living daylights out of a (white) L. S. (you know who I mean) lookalike in the back of his limo!
Scooter
All we could say was “Eeek”
Rsquared
Her dress was designed for the Teletubbies.

My God, what have we done to ourselves ?
Not only apes in the Whitehouse but one who cant dress herself. What is that ? Blood ?

@ Paul…
Don’t be a douchebag, of course, I and everyone commenting on this thread is devastated about Prop 8, but yes, I am wondering what’s on Bravo tonight.. Can I not be a full-rounded homosexual who is interested in Fashion and Politics? Kudos to you if have have done nothing vapid all day long. Life goes on.
michael
I think the dress is almost there. But I do applaud the fact that she is self actualized enough to take fashion risks. At least she did not come out looking like some updated version of Margaret Thatcher.
Those girls are absolutely adorable and Obama is the hottest president we have had since Kennedy. They are a beautiful family.

@ 19 who said ‘Those girls are absolutely adorable and Obama is the hottest president we have had since Kennedy. They are a beautiful family.’
I agree! Remember what happened to Kennedy? A race war has been programmed for the US by the smiling shadows. It will happen! All the ducks are in a row…

It’s symbolic of what awaits! The dress was chosen with care.

I love Michele’s lanky style of beauty, but she really needs a wardrobe consultant who’s not a southern baptist!
H’mmmn! I’m not doing anything right now…
Marc
…most of you sure are bitchy!

@ No. 22 · greybat – If the South African experience is anything to go by she’ll go more and more ethnic faster and faster. Soon she’ll wear interesting looking headgear. Why not? And how dare you question her African-American dress sense. She is not Caucasian, so why should she dress like one.
Saint Obama will probably decide to wear a caftan on occasions. It’s his right as an African-American. So stop making fun of your African-American first family. If you wanted an American first family you should have voted differently. African-American (or is it Indonesian-American) you wanted and that’s what you got. ENJOY!

Was I the only one that thought she looked preggers? Her stylist on this campaign should be shot. Here’s hoping to a larger income equaling a smaller waist line.
