As per usual Tyler makes me want to blow chunks and I CANNOT fathom how he manages to climb the fame ladder like this. He turns lobster red the minute he’s on screen with other people, his voice is like velociraptor nails on chalkboard (and only gets more brain-meltingly strident when he gets excited, which seems to be around anyone with either a penis or a youtube channel) he’s awkward as fuck, and to be honest just a little bit of a lot basic. Is he so popular because he is relatable to the drooling masses?
Also, why does he get to lay his clammy little paw upon Max? How does the universe allow for this travesty? FFS

Tyler Oakley, though… he has his moments that rub me the wrong way, and considering nothing he does appeals to me, it’s pretty much his philanthropic work I look at…

@gauty: He’s basically the “non-threatening” stereotypical gay guy that is media friendly. He’s the perfect little caricature to be used on random talk and reality shows.
Yet people claim that it’s the “masculine” gay male who has all the exposure and is all we ever see on tv when it’s really the reverse.
Personally I’m tired of the stereotype and feel it’s a learned behavior rather than a personality trait. People are taught to talk and act like that in gay ghettos. I can’t fathom why the media perpetuates it as how all gay men behave in general other than the fact that they figure no one will know we’re gay otherwise without it being brow-beaten over the heads of the audience.
