America has finally found a dumping ground for that dreaded metrosexual trend: Pakistan. “Male grooming salons are springing up in the main cities,” in what may or may not be an invented trend story from AFP. Of course this haute makeovers aren’t just for anybody: only the wealthy can afford hair transplants, luxe moisturizers, and manicures, which are all on the raise, we’re told, because of “a liberalised banking sector and a massive explosion of media.” One treatment I didn’t find any mention of? Botox. And really, Pakistanis can’t consider themselves true lady men until they’re freezing their foreheads and Juvederming their crow’s feet, not to mention lasering their backs.
