We’re a species that has a space station floating above the Earth for 20 years. We even have a rover on the surface of Mars. How can we be the same species that is telling people… we have legislators and legislation in places, in certain places that tells women what they can and cannot do with their bodies. How is that possible? When I say equality, I mean equality for everybody. Who are you telling who they can marry and who they can’t? What is this? This is 2014.”
— Pharrell Williams expressing his belief in equality for everyone during an interview on Ellen

OK,I’m starting to like him more and more. Now it’s clear why he’s having so such fun signing his song ‘Happy’.
Black Pegasus
Speak on it brutha!
Icebloo
@Black Pegasus: Do you EVER comment on anything not related to race ? Is that all there is to you ? We get it, you are black. Hooray for you !
Over the last few months I have read your comments and all you ever do is try to stir up racial issues.
People like you are why racism will never die. MOVE ON ! Show us there is more to you than the color of your skin.

@Icebloo: I’m just going to ask an honest question: Why should he? Is it really any different than members of the LGBT community posting comments solely on LGBT sites like this one?
Racial issues are still -way- too prevalent in today’s society. The “outrage” from idiots over the new “Annie” movie is a good current example. Should the gay community just “MOVE ON” from our own scars like Stonewall? Maybe if we did we could show that there’s more to us than our sexual-orientation?

As far as the article goes, it is quite nice to see that Pharrell is making up for the train-wreck that was “Blurred Lines”.

@Icebloo: There was nothing race baiting about his comment. I call people brother all the time, both black and white. He agreed with what artist said, no reason for the personal attack. No matter his other comments you’re the one looking bad on this one.
Tackle
@Icebloo: Dude you need to chill. And think before you write someone that makes you look foolish, and show who the true r@cist is. You asked if he ever commented on anything non r@cial? Well look to the next post over, “LOVING LAVERNE” and check out the post” SLAYED”. And since you have been keeping watch for the past few months to keep posters r@cially in line, did you ever call out that banned b!got, Jimbrayant/aka/Jason?? And I would question if you understand and know the definition of r@cism? Apparently you don’t. Because blaming a Black poster for r@cism, is like blaming women for rape. Or blaming children for child molestation. Hope that doesn’t go over your head.
Blackceo
I love that man!!
@Icebloo:
I think you need to fall back!! What did Black Pegasus say that was race related?!! The “brutha”??!! Boy, BYE!!
Merv
Pharrell is made even more hot by the fact that he’s a hard-core Star Trek nerd.
litper
Beautiful.
Kangol
@Icebloo:
If you don’t like his comments, ignore them. I see nothing wrong with him cheering on Pharell or other black people, though you do realize white people are raced too, right? So every comment is a “racial” comment. But you knew that, right?
Back to Pharell, more power to him! Pro-gay, phyne and prodigiously talented. What’s not to like?
Black Pegasus
Thanks to all of you who spoke out against the troll. But I have to wonder if the troll got what he really wanted from this attack? “Attention”
Does that mean he won? lol
RIGay
So long as he does not sing “Happy”, I am GREAT with him. That song, however, is right up there with “Mmm-bop” and “Wrecking Ball”.
Merv
I still love Mmm-bop. It’s one of the most underrated songs of all time.
joebatch
@Black Pegasus: Hey Bro I got it,You went to church with your post.Love It!!!!!!!!!!!@RIGay:
joebatch
@RIGay: I don’t know it does grow on you after a few hearings and it’s a whole lot better than “Don’t Worry Be Happy” 1,ooo times better.
Spike
Well that just makes way too much sense.
