PHOTO: Bel Ami Presents “Rebels” Without Clothes

MORNING GOODS:  Bel Ami usually give us candy-sweet boys playfully rutting in hay lofts and swimming pools, but Bel Ami Rebels, a coffee-table book out on Bruno Gmuender, is the studio’s attempt to move into rougher territory. We’ll leave it to you to decide if it succeeds but there’s certainly a lot more grit, hair, and sweat than previous offerings from the Eastern-European porn factory. Celebrity photographer Joan Crisol—also a contributor in Turnon: Gear—is the maestro behind this collection.

I don’t know if it’s how they appear on my computer screen, or the quality of the pics that they gave Queerty to use for their publicity, but those pics look photoshopped to hell!

  • ncman

@MikeE: It’s not you, it’s the pics. They don’t look real. They look more like paintings than photos.

  • The Real Mike in Asheville

I’m not sure how they managed to make these very sexy toned young men so unsexy!

  • Fitz

    Pic #4 is hilarious!!!
They are attempting to look a little rougher, so
instead of having some guys who aren’t waxed and photoshoped to hell,
they put dark makeup on the guy’s arms.

Bel Ami routinely films bareback, no condoms, unsafe sex. While the rigorous STI testing in the porn industry ensures that these actors are extremely unlikely to contract HIV, it promotes unsafe sex to gay teens who often have no other source of information about gay sex.

  • LandStander

@Freddie27: “who often have no other source of information about gay sex.”

I’m sorry but if you have the internet, you have a source of information about gay sex (safe and otherwise).

  • Rockery

But its not just these photos, I have seen promos before and the guys are always funny looking

  • Niall

#2 looks so plastic, it’s hard to find them out even though they’re muscley and stuff.

I’m a huge BelAmi fan. I agree with LandStander as far as information availability goes. As far as this book…not sure I’m liking the way it looks, probably won’t buy it. Thanks to Queerty for a little more information before I buy!
