Ruth Bader Ginsburg made history on Saturday when she became the first Supreme Court Justice to officiate a same-sex wedding
Ginsburg officiated at the marriage of her friend, John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts President Michael M. Kaiser, to economist John Roberts in the atrium of the center in Washington, reports NBC.
Last month, Ginsburg gave a rare interview in which she said the Court got it right by taking an incremental approach to marriage equality in its June decisions. Now she’s taken that stance one step further and made history herself.

That lady rocks! I hope she stayed for the whole reception too. Sotomayer and Kagan also look like they’d know how to party. Congrats to the happy couple!

THIS… JUST MAKES ME SOOO HAPPY!!! (YUP… I’M SHOUTING, LOLOL!) If John F Kennedy were here today, he would be happy as could be also, as his entire family! What a day… what an event!

Such a moving image of an incredibly important, brave act. But that is how Ruth Bader Ginsberg has conducted her entire legal career. She is an amazing woman, and a brilliant justice.
