“The feeling down [at Manhattan Marriage Bureau] today was indescribable.  So much happiness, love and joy that these couple were sharing with New York and the world.  My favorite part was the crowd waiting outside the doors at the east end of the building that cheered and whistled and hooted with joy every time another couple came out with wedding certificate in hand—because most of them didn’t expect it.  So that just ramped up the energy.
