Sitges Bears Week happens the first two weeks in September and is one of the biggest and most popular Bear festivals in Europe, attracting more than 5,000 bears, cubs, wolves and otters, as well as their admirers, from all over the world.

For two weeks straight, Sitges is transformed into a giant bear’s den, with beach events, circuit parties, and other special goings-on, like the Mr. Bear Sitges competition, held throughout the entire village.

I know some Of the guys in the pics. They had an amazing time.
And to the guys bemoaning the muscled nature of the bears in the pics, look at the group shot, there is a whole gamut of bears.
Body shaming(even when it’s shaming the muscle bears) is still bully.

Wow some of these comments about ‘real bears’ intrigue me. Since when did being fat and hairy qualify anyone for being a bear. I thought the guys in these pics were the real bears much more so than those guys in the show bears video in a previous post. Muscle, a bit of a belly and masculinity is what I look for in a bear.

Was that really Sitges, Spain? I’ve been there 5 times in life and only 2 of those pictures looked like the beach at Sitges. I think some of the pictures were taken elsewhere.
