PHOTOS: Boy Scouts Cater Gay Marriages At Utah County Courthouse With Pizza

Days after U.S. District Judge Robert Shelby ruled that Utah’s marriage equality law was unconstitutional, hundreds of same-sex couples converged in Salt Lake City to get a ring legally put on it. There to lend a helping hand were SLC’s local Boy Scouts troop, wearing rainbow handkerchiefs while delivering pizza to the clerks who had skipped lunch to process the flood of marriage certificates and the couples waiting in line.

The Scouts only recently began accepting openly gay members this year after years of pressure to drop their ban, which still prohibits gay leaders.
