Why are all the actors/models looking angry, bored and vacant? Is this supposed to be sexy? They are actors, show some personality, or at least smile. This is common in many calendars, and its boring as hell.

Apparently, Broadway does a lot of sit-ups and chest shaving.

Actually you don’t have to do sit-ups for great abs. Most people have really great abs already because of everyday movements they do non-stop throughout the day. They just cannot see them. The only difference is that many people have a layer of fat which appears above the muscle layer which hides their ab definition. You get great abs by burning off the fat – not doing crunches which burn very few calories.

Does the money they raise actually help anyone? Or does it just go for “administration costs” as usual?

@balehead: Broadway Cares has a great reputation in the community for making sure the money goes where it’s supposed to. They awarded more than $10.8 million last year to more than 450 AIDS organizations across the country and to The Actors Fund (which helps anyone in the entertainment industry). They even sent out something like $350,000 on behalf of the theater community to help victims of Hurricane Sandy (and have done so for other natural disasters). I get your skepticism about other groups, but these guys are for real.
