drag race all stars MTV VMAs

Get ready to be what? SICKENED, by the amazing looks of the Drag Race cast at the MTV Video Awards red carpet. The stars of the series showed up to promote the awards and their own show in some throwback couture that looked better on them than on some of the original wearers.

(Logo and MTV are both owned by Viacom, so that’s some nice corporate synergy. The company also owns Nick Jr, but that might not be as good a fit.)

Apparently there was a bit of a fuss behind the scenes, with various queens feuding over who was going to be Britney. Honestly, it wouldn’t be a terrible thing if they all showed up as Britneys — but then again, which one would be willing to shave her head?

And that’s how we wound up with Alaska as Britney, surrounded by Madonnas and Sias and Lady Gaga‘s meat dress. Oh geez, that meat dress. The great thing about it is that after you’re done wearing it, you can hang it over a window and make meat curtains.

At any rate, the world is looking forward to one of these gals winning an Oscar so she can show up in Bjork’s swan.
