ART HAUS

PHOTOS: Cheyenne Jackson Joins Other Works Of Art At The Met’s Post-Pride Party

The Metropolitan Museum of Art is pretty smart: The  beloved cultural institution scheduled its second-annual LGBT bash on Wednesday, weeks after all the Pride hubbub had died down and savvy gay New Yorkers were looking for another place to get their party on. Of course, the celebration had added significance, as the state revs up for marriage equality on Sunday. We’d say that’s why so many folks were grabbing glasses of wine, but it probably had more to do with the open bar.

Broadway hunk Cheyenne Jackson joined VIP guests on the Met’s rooftop for a private cocktail reception, before heading down into the main hall, where New York City Council Speaker Christine Quinn, playwright/activist Larry Kramer and hundreds of well-dressed LGBTs mixed, mingled and peeked in on the Alexander McQueen exhibit.
