Oh, daddy!

PHOTOS: Daddy Issues’ first-ever zine has us begging father for more

What started as a pop-up circuit party for gay daddies and their admirers in a club basement in Dalton East London has quickly grown into a global gay brand.

Daddy Issues had it’s first party in 2015. Since then it has organized events in other cities around the world and launched a popular apparel line that includes everything from t-shirts and hats to swimwear. Now, it has just launched its first-ever zine.

The 52-page, full color, NSFW print project is a collaboration between Daddy Issues, Pure for Men, and photographer Christopher Sherman, and celebrates sex and men of all colors, types, and sizes.

The Daddy Issues zine is a beacon of faggotry,” Daddy Issues co-founder Oly Innes says. “It’s unashamedly queer. Though not all the men in the images are queer themselves, it’s been produced with a queer eye.”

He continues, “[Photographer] Christopher Sherman has a great way of making anyone sexy, no matter their shape or where they come from. Our influences were vintage porn, and that specific vibe that’s sleazy, but never intimidating and always done with a wink—which is very much in keeping with the Daddy Issues brand.”

This must be the admirers section.

I don’t get it. The name implies you’re into Daddies yet I see none. Just another typical Circuit Party.

You are right. There are guys with some facial hair or a few hairs on the chest or south of the belly button, hairy guys, otters, bears, and daddies. And there no daddies here.

Uh, where the are daddies? #showmethedaddies

“It’s unashamedly queer. Though not all the men in the images are queer themselves, it’s been produced with a queer eye.” eyeroll. I think ill skip this ‘edgy’ ‘queer’ piece of fluff.

This zine looks like the visual analogue for *Chappy*, that all-types-are-welcome app. Looks like fun, daddies or not.

  • truckproductions

given that the oldest model is probably 30 years old, I’m not getting much of a daddy vibe

  • jhon_siders

I see some of daddy’s boys but no daddy’s not old enough or really furry enough got to have the grey or salt pepper hair thing going on too .
