Chances are you’ve never heard of Nir Rotenberg, the Israeli professional wrestler who goes by Rixon Raus.
But you’re going to want that to change, like, five minutes ago.
Rotenberg is the current reigning champ of the Israeli Wrestling League. He also just came out publicly to send other queer wrestlers the message that it’s ok to be who you are. And for what it’s worth, he’s also a dreamboat.
In an interview with WDG just before nabbing the championship (with a translation posted on A Wider Bridge), he said:
“I understood the extent of the responsibility and the influence that my actions have now that I am a champion, and I knew that it was time to come out of the closet in public. If I had a gay role model as a young wrestler, the fears I’ve had in the past would have been avoided.”
Scroll down for a look at his Instagram — he may be one you’ll want to follow!

umm Rixon has been out since day one, his boyfriend is his No. 1 promoter on social networks. he did not “just come out”

But that’s not titillating or scandalous, so…

If you actually read the article you would have understood the context of this post and his ‘public’ coming out. And this article is from last week, so it is still ‘news’.
“He lives in Tel Aviv with his partner Ronen and Ronen’s two children from joint parenthood, and the two already have plans to get married and have children of their own.”
“His wrestling league friends already knew that Nir was gay, and so did his family and friends. Nir’s next step was to come out publicly to the entire wrestling fans in general and to his character’s fans in particular.”

He’s beautiful. Radome ears and all.

Well shalom to you

It would be great to see this guy interviewed on American talk shows. But I won’t hold my breath. He’s not a flaming drag queen so he doesn’t fit the stereotype.

You said this same nonsense when the previous couple of barely known wrestlers came out.
When some masculine/non-stereotypical yet legitimately famous American athletes with no fear or gay shame decide to come out I’m sure plenty of talk shows will want to interview them. That hasn’t happened yet. Can’t interview people who aren’t there. Unless it’s someone in the NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL, an Olympian during the Olympics or someone generally well known American talk shows are not gonna care.

Wow, ANOTHER post where you play victim to drag queens?
Lacuevaman
Dreamy? NOT!

Wow! There are some real sexy hunks on Queerty. You know how I know? They tell me| Everyone is too ugly for them. They are so hot they have to let everyone know (since we can’t see them). And THAT is hot too! Who here doesn’t love a-hole?

Maybe he just came out to Frau Pence in a dark alley.
