PHOTOS: Gay-Getaways Guru Out Escapes Launches In New York City

That Travelocity gnome may be able to locate cut-rate deals, but can he find a gay-friendly getaway in Phuket? Happily, the brand new, gay-owned business Out Escapes has put fairies to work securing great deals with certified LGBT-friendly properties, festivals and tour operators around the globe.

We hit New York’s Bedlam bar to celebrate the official launch of the Out Escapes website and asked co-founder Jimmy Im (above, far right) where the company will be sending jet-setting ‘mos. “We’re going to have property and event listings for all over the world, even for places gays would not normally think to go,” said Im. “We want to get gays out of their shell and not just think Miami, Fire Island and Provincetown. We want them going to Africa, Siberia and Chile.”

And while you’re there, be sure to find all the best hot spots with your GayCities app!
