I’m a gamer, but I don’t understand these conventions. The dressing up in costumes I WOULD NEVER. Don’t feel like I would fit in at all. I play COD, Mass Effect, Battlefield, Splinter Cell, GTA, etc…but I don’t want to dress up like any of the characters and go to an event. I dunno. I’m looking at the costumes and don’t know who they are supposed to be, but Halloween is around the corner.

The con was a lot of fun – looking forward to its return. Hopefully the tabletop area will be a mite bigger next year.

A lot of folks enjoy cosplay but some don’t pull off the looks well but give them props for their efforts and hope they enjoyed their experience. I did however really enjoy the look of Alice’ on page 13, I feel they did a great job with her look/outfit, well done!

conventions are about geeking out and having fun. For some that means dressing up. It goes back to that feeling when you’re a kid and Halloween comes up and you just LOVE Batman or Superman or Jack Skellington so you want to be them for one night. There’s nothing wrong about dressing up, and there’s no pressure to dress up, so what’s your beef?

I like comic con in San Diego, since i live an hour away i try and go every year, but i don’t really have an interest in Gaymer. Going by my experience, i just never find it very fun to hang out with a lot of gay people. Maybe gay geeks are different different than the bitchy queens from so cal.

Having attended last year, it’s a super-friendly crowd – cattiness level is low to nonexistent. If you’re into nerdy stuff, I’d recommend it. 🙂
