Phi Phi O’Hara, arguably one of the most controversial drag queens of the year, started 2016 with a goal: Complete 365 drag makeup looks before the end of the year.
Mission accomplished.

In the early part of 2016, Phi Phi made news headlines across the web for the project. Her original goal was to post one photo every day of 2016 (except for February 29th, since it was a leap year), however, her busy scheduled caused some issues. Sources have also revealed that she lost several pre-shot photos when her computer crashed while on tour, causing further delays to the project.
How about we take this to the next level?
Our newsletter is like a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.
Nevertheless, Phi Phi was able to complete all 365 looks, posting the final look on Sunday, January 1.
To bring the project home, and put an exclamation point at the end of it, the final outfit was a homemade gown made of hundreds of printed photographs that featured all of the looks from the series (see above).
“Done!!!!!” Phi Phi said in the caption for the final photo. “1 year ago today I started this project for a few reasons, mainly to showcase what I can do and not what people thought I could do based off of pre-made assumptions. I also did it to push myself to do something that has never been done before! I am so happy with the positive response that I have received from all of this and I can’t thank you all enough! This was a hard year for a lot of us and I took a break after the entire All Stars situation to clear my thoughts and remind myself that you can’t let people stop you from achieving any goal or dream you have set for yourself! I hope this project continues to inspire others to push themselves and reach beyond the sky…..there is no limit!”
While we’re sad the project is over, we love the looks Phi Phi served this year. We’ve compiled some of our favorite photos from the project below. Enjoy!

I didn’t like Phi’s Phi’s quarrelsome attitude on the show (Drag race and Allstars2) but she is definitely talented-these pics are incredible.

I don’t know whose was the most wasted effort your amazing contribution to Culture or my scrolling. Besides, photoshopped AF so what’s the actual fucking point. Trash gay “culture”

@PRINCE OF SNARKNESS aka DIVKID: who’s forcing you to claim drag culture as your culture? If you don’t like it, move on. Its that simple.

I don’t know… All Stars 2 didn’t really sour me to her as much as it did others, namely because the shit job AS2 did all around. Her drag is phenomenal.

@DarkZephyr: who’s forcing you to opine on my opinion? If you don’t like it, move on. Its that simple.

Say what you will about her but damn she’s talented

@DarkZephyr: Don’t even bother with her – she comments all the time and never has anything nice to say. We’ve learned to ignore her. 😉

Wow. You let outright r@cism and hatred etc flourish unmolested on this site .. yet somehow felt the righteously indignant urge to comment on THIS. Just wow

Phi Phi is talented and this was an interesting project. If she ever got over her habit of knocking other people down when they are getting attention and complements, then she could be a huge drag star. She is her best asset and her own worst enemy.
