New York party promoter Justin Luke Zirilli has a unique campaign for publicizing his steamy boy-meets-city novel, Gulliver Takes Manhattan. He got some of his cute young friends to pose suggestively with the book. Hey, it beats doing a signing at some Waldenbooks in the mall. (By the way, is this becoming a trend for gay authors?)

Max Ryder (#7) is such a little cutie, dear god! And literate, too! Cocky Boys snatched up a good one.
MikeE
that’s an interesting idea fo a publicity campaign.
so.. where are the cute friends?
and why are you posting pics of THESE guys instead?
Lefty
Does he have such little faith in his work???
Might be a better idea to get cute naked guys to READ excerpts of the book. 🙂
Chris
@MikeE: Why bash so early in the morning? While I am certain that you are an example of physical perfection that would leave us all swooning, there really is no need to insult people that are just trying to garner a little publicity for a book by a young writer.

@MikeE: @Chris: I agree. How about you show us some self-pics? There seems to be a decent variety in here, not just the manorexic hairless type. I’d say all (or most) are very attractive. Not everyone is my particular cup of tea, but I can’t deny that they are all very cute.
MikeE
I don’t have the temerity to use my “cuteness” as a selling point for my product.
Lefty
@MikeE: But what are you selling!?
iltman
given that advertising in general uses sex to sell everything from toilet cleaner to ham I think using these cute boys to catch our eye and get us to read a book is a fine idea and there are some VERY cute boys there
Daniel
Artist Michael Kirwan did something like that with his book last year. I think this one is very cute:

None of these guys are even remotely hot. WTF?
John
@MikeE: Temerity. Well done! You’ve got yourself a thesaurus.
Justin
@MikeE: Christ, what an asshole.
