PHOTOS: SXSW wrapped up in Austin over the weekend, but not before the seventh annual GayBiGayGay Queer Music Festival on Sunday. The free show included raucous rock-outs by Le1f, Christeene, Yo Majesty, Light Asylum, Double Dutchess and Berlin’s Bonaparte.

How about we take this to the next level?
Our newsletter is like a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.

While lots of fun, GayBiGayGay was hardly representative of Austin’s LGBT community. There were plenty of out artists performing in Austin during SXSW that are not only from Austin, but are representative of the community. Even Austin Pride’s pathetic attempt at a showcase showed how disconnected they are from the community. Hey AUSTIN Pride, how about featuring some local artists for a change? The Logo TV showcases at Oil Can Harry’s were more my taste with a wide range of genres, but I was surprise to find several straight artists on the lineup.
