On Thursday morning, the cast of the upcoming off-Broadway rock musical Bare partnered with Athlete Ally, HRC, Faith in America, and the Tyler Clementi Foundation for a special event honoring of National Coming Out Day at the Snapple Center in New York.
Former NHL star Sean Avery, activist Fiona Dawson, Tyler Clementi Foundation founder James Clementi and others joined Bare director Stafford Arima and choreographer Travis Wall for a discussion on issues surrounding coming out and a sneak-peek performance of Jason Hite singing “Role of a Lifetime” (above).
The show, set in a co-ed Catholic school where two boys engage in a secret relationship, is scheduled to go into previews on November 19 and officially open December 9 at New World Stages.
