American Horror Story’s gay fan base always get nods from the show, but last night’s episode set new records in gay content.
Last week things were already getting a little queer with the opportunist murderer character having some same-sex lovin’ with a good-looking gladiator.
And this week, it didn’t take long for his sexuality to get called out after he dropped some, ahem, reading material on the floor.
But that’s just the tip of the iceberg. We visit Dandy (Finn Wittrock), who along with the help of his Violet Venable-esque mother (Frances Conroy), just buried the maid he murdered last week (Patti LaBelle!):
And what follows can only be described as an homage to American Psycho. Forget the crazy psycho-killer part, though, and it was pretty hot, high-waisted undies and all:
As if that weren’t enough, then we learn that the Strong Man is also gay, and totally in love with Matt Bomer:
But don’t get too attached. Dandy has a taste for blood now and Matt is the next victim. It’s a hook-up nightmare in the pre-Grindr era, and was pretty shocking. Here’s the parts that won’t make you lose your lunch:
Alright Ryan Murphy, you have our attention again.

How could anyone want to kill beautiful Matt Bomer!

This show WRECKS my nerves EVERY WEEK! I may need some counseling before the season ends.

Well sh!t. I would so eat Matt B any day but probably not in the way the monster did. 😉
Why would anyone hurt Matt? He’s so dreamy, sigh. Maybe being a sweetheart hottie makes him delicious? Too bad.

This episode definitely made me wince over and over. This season has also been doing a great job of showing how disposable gay men were seen back then. Its ironic that those of that ilk that are alive today call us “bullies” because we want equality and respect after what they have been doing to us for decades upon decades. We are “bullying” them into treating us decently for a damned change.
Dandy was looking pretty damned scrumptious when he oiled himself up and was working out but by the end of the episode he was turning my stomach. Ugh. Have a new appreciation for the actor though.

I love AHS:Freakshow ( I love all of them ) and with Murphy at the helm, I love the fact that he incorperates gay characters in his shows in which I feel is a good thing- gay characters on mainsteam/popular shows… The man is so talented from Glee to AHS.
I did not expect “Strongman” as gay. And now Neil Patrick Harris & David Burtka will be appearing on Freakshow as well- I am looking forward to what their characters will be.
Ummmm Yeah
Angela Bassett finally got a bit of a chance to shine for the first time in two seasons, but it was all Ike and Tina all over. Precious was just awful in her little scene. She had no concept of playing a character in that time period. She played it like it was modern day. The rest was pretty good. I thought Paul was dead the whole episode but I guess that was a flash forward. That bit of time jumping threw me. That and the active gay scene in 1950s backwoods Florida.

@Ummmm Yeah: I don’t think it was a time jump, I think it was a day dream.
