Before plunging to his death, acrobat’s last Facebook post was love letter to “beautiful boyfriend”

An acrobat in Madrid named Pedro Aunion Monroy plunged to his death on Friday night at the Mad Cow Festival.

The last message he wrote on Facebook was on Thursday night; a love letter to his “beautiful boyfriend”:

“I can’t wait to see my beautiful boyfriend. Love, come to my arms!!!!! ????.”

I can't wait to see my beautiful boyfriend. Love, come to my arms!!!!! 🏃🏃🏃🏃

According to the BBC, he fell near the main stage, in-between performances by Green Day and alt-J.

Paramedics spent 30 minutes trying to save his life, but ultimately there was nothing they could do.

Monroy trained in the schools of Pilar López, Cristina Rota and in the Royal Conservatory of Dance. He also had his own performance company in Brixton, London called In Fact Aerial Dance.

To supplement his income, he was a massage therapists at The Grand Hotel in Brighton.

Andrew Mosley, the hotel’s general manager, told the BBC:  We are all very sad to hear the news, it is the most terrible news and our hearts go out to his friends and family.”

The band Slowdive was scheduled to perform after Green Day, but they suspended their performance after learning of Monroy’s death.

Friends are now sending their condolences and expressing their shock on that final Facebook post.
