Earlier this month, we reportedrapper Lil Peep died at the age of 21 by way of a suspected drug overdose.
Now, a report from TMZ claims police are opening an investigation after discovering “troubling private messages” on his phone.
Authorities are particularly interested in texts from a woman seen on a tour bus with the rapper not long before his death.

How about we take this to the next level?
Our newsletter is like a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.
Apparently, a group text includes this message from her:
“GBC [Lil Peep] high af because of me and my friend lol”
“He passed the fuck out. My brother called and I tried to get him to say hi to my brother, but he wouldn’t wake up.”
Before his death, Lil Peep posted an Instagram vid in which he claimed to have ingested “six Xanax, and now it’s lit.”
Police suspect the Xanax was also laced with fentanyl.
Initially, a medical examiner said the rapper’s cause of death was an overdose, but six to eight weeks would be needed before toxicology results came back.

Well this tweet didn’t age well: https://i.imgur.com/vuq8x6W.jpg
ChrisK
The Lol at the end was cute. Lol
Heywood Jablowme
Results might differ if the soda is laced with fentanyl.
Knight
mhoff Ouch!!!!
😛
ChrisK
Yeah, I’m not seeing the problem here. Rapper does drugs. Fan texts him being passed out. Rapper dies.
machuffin
Maybe the fact that she specifically got him high by giving him drugs laced with fentanyl and he died in her presence without helping him. Or something.
Knight
Mac ya think?? Some people around here are so cluelessly stupid and disconnected it’s scary. Glad you are one of the few that hasn’t lost your humanity.
Juanjo
Well, as an attorney I see an issue for the person leaving the posts. Giving someone drugs and leaving them in the situation he was in is most likely going to get someone a reckless endangerment charge at a minimum. If the person providing the drugs gave the deceased something other than what he thought he was taking it could be 2nd degree or even 1st degree murder.
Knight
Juanjo absolutely. It’s illegal to share prescription drugs (and I doubt this chick even had the prescription), so there’s that to start with.
ChrisK
I totally agree and everyone should be responsible for their decisions. She’s guilty of at least manslaughter to 2nd degree murder. Him being a druggie makes no difference in her defense.
ChrisK
Lord i can’t believe I just agreed with the troll Knight. Oh well. Clock is right twice a day or something like that.
ChrisK
Broken..
Knight
Chris if you weren’t such a douche, you might actually find we have more in common than you thought. Not sure why you feel the need to pick fights with everyone you disagree with on this site to begin with, unless you are just a miserable person and this is your outlet for human interaction. I guarantee if you open your mind, be respectful of a difference of opinion and make a point with facts instead of emotions you’ll enjoy life a lot better.
Donston
ChrisK, you are indeed a bit douche-y, sometimes. But you do make sense, most of the time. Glad to see someone else has peeped out that this Knight person isn’t anything more than an overly sensitive, snappy lame who can’t handle the least of bit of discourse without name-calling and nonsensically ranting and yet has accused others of being a-holes. Typical “internet age” personality. However, I’m not willing to call him a troll until I know for certain he’s someone’s clone account.
Heywood Jablowme
I like ChrisK, I like Knight, I even like that know-it-all Donston most of the time. (Sometimes Donston actually knows stuff.)
I notice that Knight is here disagreeing with mhoffman953 – one of the other supposed “Mo Bro” posters – according to the liberal self-appointed Pope of Queerty, DCguy/Cam! – so Knight and mhoffman are probably not the same person. 🙂
But there is a little hypocrisy by Knight here. Here he is, pompously lecturing us about losing our “humanity” by making a few jokes about a hopeless drug addict. Literally everyone who knew Lil Peep expected him to die of an overdose; the most positive spin anyone can manage is something like ‘well I didn’t expect it THIS soon, I expected it a year from now’ etc. Also, Lil Peep had the most disgusting, revolting, ridiculous tattoos anyone has ever had. (These kids today. Stay off my lawn!)
But a week ago Knight was pompously lecturing us that anyone who needs “drugs” even marijuana (!!!), to relax a bit as a bottom in anal sex, has a serious problem!!! Well how the fk would Knight even know that since he is a “total top.” (I don’t doubt that part since I’ve known a few total tops.) Excusing extreme drug addiction, up to and including fentanyl, while pearl-clutching about pot? – a bit of a disconnect there.
Reefer madness! On that subject Knight sounded more like Giancarlo85 than Mo Bro, lol.
Donston
I’ve noticed that more than a few people here (some being redundant accounts) tend to go out of their way to defend bi-identifying men and/or suspected closet cases no matter the circumstances but are often bitchy, dismissive and judgmental towards gay-identifying men who say or do similar things or get caught in similar situations. So, hypocrisy and contradictions are inevitable. Some folks just do a very poor job at shielding their internalized homophobia, gay shame and/or hetero worship. It’s a very bad look.
Knight
Heywood while I appreciate the back-handed compliment, I will say you TOTALLY misread what I was saying. First, I didn’t lecture ANYONE here about not making jokes. My comment here was to ChrisK who said “I’m not seeing the problem here”, given someone gave Lil Peep prescription drugs that weren’t his, which he subsequently died of because of their supposed neglect That’s a felony…so anyone who would say “I’m not seeing the problem here” would appear to have a disconnect with humanity. Make all the jokes you want if that’s what you want to do…that’s on you (and not what I was talking about).
Second, if I had a chance to talk to/council Li’l Peep for one minute, the first thing I would have said was “You’re going to burn-out very soon”. Regardless of how much I like his music, I’m not one to idolize or ego-stroke, as you can tell, I’m very blunt (no pun intended). So, when I commented to Creamcycle, it was out of sincerity; it sounded like he could only enjoy sex with the assistance of drugs and/or alcohol. I’ve met a LOT of guys like that (women usually just the alcohol), so my counsel was just a simple “take it or leave it”, and not a judgment call.
Third, yes, I’m a total top and statistically 98% bigger than the entire male population walking the earth. I absolutely understand the “difficulties” of the mechanics of anal (and vaginal) sex….but I’m also very good at it. I have a VERY strict “no drugs” policy (however I’d say 70% of the time guys use poppers…which I find foul, but I figure I’ll just be a good sport about it). And not only do I have NO issues finding male partners, I can often make them ejaculate without them even touching themselves…so yeah…even though I’m a total top, I think I know what I’m doing enough to realize the guys I choose to be with get along just fine without the use of drugs. Personally, I think the whole “relaxation” thing is just an excuse (if the top dude can’t relax you orally or otherwise, just move on…it means you’re both going to have bad sex anyway, and life’s too short for that).
My 2 cents.
Knight
Heywood PS (and sorry for the long previous post) I think you confused machuffin with mhoffman, as I looked on these messages and didn’t see the latter post here. And I like MOST people on these boards, but that doesn’t mean I won’t disagree with someone I like. I just don’t do it by starting out with “Oh, here’s that same troll again…f&*%@ you and die!” Subtle difference… ; )
Heywood Jablowme
@Knight: Thanks for the explanation.
And please keep going whenever possible with your excitingly detailed accounts of casual sex. Our monomaniac monogamist here, Danny595, will have a heart attack!

First, I find it gross this site chose to use a pic of the man where he looks dead, second, I find it gross that people are mocking his death here or making light of it. And, no, I am not an overly sensitive fan or anything. Just someone with some decency.
SiamSam
Welcome to Queerty.
tham
Umm…all of his pic he looks dead.
Knight
Mac I really admire your sentiment. But regarding the pics, HE took them/posed for them (it was kind of his ‘brand’). So, at the very least, hopefully they can be used as a warning. But yeah…no need to hate on someone just because they died making poor decisions.
Juanjo
That photo was a promo for a new album he had released. The title of the album is on the sheet “Come Over When You’re Sober”.
Paco
I forgot he died.
irbaboon
Just one look , you could tell that bitch was a mess
jhon_siders
So a LIL thug is dead good riddance .
PRINCE OF SNARKNESS aka DIVKID
I see your agenda…but, no, this kid from a family of Harvard educated academics (Professor father, teacher, mother, Harvard professor grandfather) didn’t have a violent bone in his body and was universally Regarded as a sweet and kind kid. But you tried
Donston
Nowadays anyone who doesn’t feel “straight-laced” can refer to themselves as a “thug”. From what I know he had no violent instincts just stereotypical issues, a “bad boy” attitude and a drug habit.
