The police officer murdered in Thursday’s ISIS attack on the Champ-Elysees was openly gay and a proud advocate for LGBTQ rights.

According to the New York Times, 37-year-old Xavier Jugelé was “mourned on Friday by friends and fellow officers.”
“He was a simple man who loved his job, and he was really committed to the L.G.B.T. cause,” said Mikaël Bucheron, president of Flag, a French association for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender police officers. “He joined the association a few years ago, and he protested with us when there was the homosexual propaganda ban at the Sochi Olympic Games,” Mr. Bucheron said.
Born in 1979, Jugelé was raised in Romorantin-Lanthenay in Central France, the son of a former member of the armed services.

According to The Telegraph, Jugelé was shot in the head after being sent to guard the Bataclan following the terrorist attack.
Bucheron told the paper:
“When I learned that it was one of us [who had been killed], it was shocking. Every time a police officer dies in the line of duty, all of us are very moved and affected by the tragedy. But the emotion is even stronger when you knew him and he was a member of the association.”
The Times adds:
Officer Juglé joined protests against Russia’s ban on “homosexual propaganda” before the 2014 Olympics. He also went to Greece to help police officers deal with migrants who had crossed the Aegean Sea and were seeking shelter in the European Union.
A bystander and two other officers were injured during the attack.

I don’t mean this as a rhetorical question so I would appreciate any sincere replies. Can someone explain to me why certain leaders are so eager to merge the LGBTQ movement to support the unlimited immigration of Muslim refugees into western countries? Definitely, gay Muslims and straight Muslims who are supportive are welcome in my view–and I noticed these are the types paraded about at rallies and other events. However, they don’t seem to represent the majority of people coming in who at the very least would prefer that homosexuality be made illegal. Yet, as a gay man I’m supposed to unequivocally support unlimited numbers of people with these views pouring into societies that only recently decided we deserve human rights.
I realize that the vast majority of Muslim immigrants would never condone this violence and that Muslim organizations often condemn it–but that’s where they stop. There is no welcoming of openly gay people into your average Mosque (aside from rare exceptions). Is the idea that eventually being in a more liberal society will liberalize people?

The math is simple. If you prevent one minority group (Muslims) from free transit simply because of their religious beliefs you are opening the door and setting a precedent to prevent another another group (LGBTQ) from having that free transit.

Most evangelicals and fundamentalists prefer that homosexuality be made illegal. A few would like to see it made a capitol offense as is deemed “biblical”. I realize that the vast majority of Evangelicals and Fundamentalists would never condone this violence and that SOME of their organizations often condemn it–but that’s where they stop. They are most certainly not welcomed at these churches. Attacks against LGBT people in this country originate overwhelmingly from the Christian population (this is extremely well documented, as is the fact that most terror attacks in the US originate with Christian folks and, exclusive of 9/11, they have caused the most death, injury and property damage. Evangelicals and fundamentalists make up 25-35% of our population (depending on the survey looked at), The total Muslim population of this country (including converts, immigrants and those born here) is 1-1.5%. Nobody EVER suggests surveillance of, or limitations on the movement of Christians (even the white supremicist Christian Identity folks who are undeniably violence prone), and the Muslims that creep people out are generally seen as middle eastern (thus the similar fear of Sikhs, Hindus, Jains and others that fit the brown skinned stereotype).
Those people “pouring” into our country are refugees fleeing for their lives and overwhelmingly women, children and older folks. The fear they inspire, as well as the information outlined above strongly suggests that the fear is racially/ethnically based. The proposed (and thankfully blocked) travel ban on Muslims EXCLUDED the countries most likely to have terrorists looking to travel here because those countries have business ties to Trump and his peers. That tells you something as well.

Yes… look at Africa. A. The exception to the standard concerning majority Christian countries and how the LGBT populations are treated, and B. Muslim majority countries in Africa have the same terrible record on LGBT human rights. Scott Lively and his whole brand of “Christian love” is a huge contributor to the terrible plight of LGBT individuals in Uganda, but once again, the false equivalency rears its ugly head. The answer to Islamic extremism is to address it head on, not to obfuscate its totality by always bringing up how Christianity was once just as bad and the few and far between examples of Christian terrorism. Because for every mention of Dylan Roof or an abortion bombing, dozens of Islamic attacks are carried out. And I’ll be the first to join in with calling for a reform to Islam, although I would like to see the religion and the like done away with, but that’s not happening anytime soon.

African Christians and African Muslims are just as bad as each other and don’t compare to your typical American Christian. (I’m sure now you’ll respond by bringing up some fringe figure on Youtube who says to kill gays and act as if he speaks for all of the Christians in America – just because you can pick 1 outlier, it doesn’t mean the majority are that way).
My post dealt with rich, vibrant nations of the world like France, Germany, the USA, etc. Once you have an open door policy and let radicalized extremists into your nation, it falls apart quickly. I’m all for having immigrants in the US but we need to properly vet these people and only bring in the best otherwise we will have a nation like France that is plagued by terror attacks every month.

People say liberals see Islam as their friend because they do. According to Pew research in 2002 (a year after 9/11), liberals felt of the Islamic population, 39% didn’t hold anti-American views but then in 2016 (after years of globally terror attacks), liberals felt 54% of those who practice Islam don’t hold anti-American views.
Pew research has also found that a majority of Muslims support Sharia Law and feel that it should be held above all other laws.
There are currently 1.5 billion Muslims in the world. Let’s pretend 10% are radicalized or on the verge of radicalization – that’s 150 million terrorists / potential terrorists worldwide who hate western values. How do we know if we’re bringing in the good people or the bad people in regards to immigration?
How do we propose we fix this issue? By doing nothing?
