Out musician Matt Palmer has been quietly honing his pop music chops for a few years now, and like a fine wine, you probably can’t afford him. No wait–it’s that other thing–he’s only getting finer!
His latest project is ambitious; he’ll release seven music videos ahead of his upcoming Visual EP, Get Lost (pre-order and stream here).
We’re excited to premiere the latest of his weekly releases–the title track “Get Lost”–here on Queerty exclusively.
The video depicts Palmer in the honeymoon phase of a relationship with gaylebrity Max Emerson. Sounds just like our dating lives.

More glorification of drug use after it has had and continues to have catastrophic impact on many lives, especially on the lives of the LGBT community. Appalling video.

Did you watch the video to the end? It doesn’t glorify drug use, it criticizes it because it makes the lead singer end up nearly drowning, until he’s saved by the guy he likes. He also freaks out, vomits, and has a very bad trip. That’s not glorification, it’s a critique!
Video comprehension is even easier than reading comprehension!

actually I had the same interpretation and the video it made me a little sad. it get it, people do E but this particular video didnt have much redeeming value (it was actually a little boring) and watching a young queer black man on drugs and almost dying was creepy, even if he was “saved” by the white guy

I think this is the second video of a bunch.. The video he released before this one shows how they met so I think there’s more that’ll happen in this story. I think that’s why the drug plot was left a little open ended. It’s kind of like a movie.
