Miley Cyrus‘ historic Bangerz tour kicked off last week in Vancouver, which means you’re probably already aware that photos like this exist.
The images of 21-year-old Cyrus, lounging on stage in front of thousands of fans in a cannabis-print leotard, patting her crotch and simulating some acts we’d rather not talk about, have upset the soccer moms of Cyrus’ fandom for being “too explicit,” “disgusting,” and borderline pornographic.
But after that raunchy VMA performance and the “Adore You” video, which is arguably just as salacious as Miley’s tour performance, are we seriously supposed to be shocked? Has Miley gone too far?
Mull it over for a bit while checking out some of the most SFW Miley-themed images around: Presumably straight men dressing up as Miley Cyrus. This is about as safe as you’re going to get, folks.
How about we take this to the next level?
Our newsletter is like a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.
To be fair, we’re assuming most of these men are straight based on their costume’s authenticity and the demeanor of their pose. Gay men just, uh, look a little different while channeling Miley.
Different like this:

She is just disgusting and the guys imitating her are not much better.
MK Ultra
I think this meme has grown old fast.
Dxley
These are seriously disturbing!

I miss the gay community that I knew. It was a community that took the ridiculousness of the world and embraced it. Now today everything is “offensive” or “disturbing”. These guys are just having fun. There’s nothing wrong with that. And if people find Miley offensive, don’t watch her, or click on her articles or report on her. I miss us before we became politically correct cutouts.
sportyguy1983
When all you do is embrace and celebrate ridiculousness and grotesque actions, then don’t expect to be taken serious.
Derek Williams
@newdc23: Agreed!
LifeNewbie20s
@sportyguy1983: People can be taken seriously without having any semblance of humor or humility drained from them.
scotshot
Offensive? No. I’ve always enjoyed skag drag more than “serious” drag.
sportyguy1983
And people can try to funny without being gross and selling their dignity.
katbox80
What has been seen cannot be unseen. 🙁
LifeNewbie20s
@sportyguy1983: That sounds like a moral judgement. Interesting because the gay community is usually the one asking for people to stop imposing their morals. We must treat others the way we want to be treated.
Curtispsf
Most straight men can’t even do BAD drag because that requires a certain amount of style and a sense of campiness which heteros just don’t get.
What’s next, Miley…A bunch of circus elephants going down on you with their trunks? This is all SO staged to make up for lack of talent.
BrokebackBob
Every picture, sickening. Miley is completely disgustingly OVER.
QuintoLover
I feel the Bulls uniform guy and the second guy from the bottom are probably gay.
Respect4all
That first picture of Miley IS pornographic. How you feel about pornography is another story. I hate to say it, but I do have some sympathy with the soccer moms in this case.
Vegas Tearoom
She is seriously, passionately, desperately…over.
sportyguy1983
What was I thinking. No one should be judged for anything no matter how disgusting they are acting. There should be no moral compass that people live by. Miley should be applauded for being a disgusting human being with no moral beliefs other than wanting to be famous for being a gross human being.
Stache1
@sportyguy1983: You do realize your babbling makes no sense..right?
Niall
Gross. And if that makes me “politically correct” and “imposing my morals” or whatever nonsense, I welcome it.
sportyguy1983
It is called sarcasm.
Sebizzar
@newdc23: Well, this IS disturbing, but it’s definitely funny xD
feeps
You know what I find offensive about this post is the gleeful misogyny served up next to self-reflective
Homophobia? Women owning their sexualities? DISGUSTING! Men who imitate them, could be disgusting
or drag. Since you brought Robin Thicke into this, check out his videos and the lyrics to Blurred Lines for something
offensive and rapey.
newecreator
This is Miley’s new direction. Why not acknowledge that? Madonna did the same theme when she did the Blonde Ambition tour. Remember?!
